Because of tracfone’s special minute tracking software, they do have a sim card, but only works on tracfones.?
Tracfone sim card will not work with any other phone unfortunately. This is due to the software meant for this sim card, it is meant to track the minutes, so the sim will not work.

You can’t even switch a tracfone SIM from one tracfone to another tracfone.
You got it, both you and the lady are right. I unlocked a Tracfone once, but couldn’t get around the firmware. They are the bane of phone unlockers. Don’t even try to unlock them, Net10s and Virgin Mobiles, unless you can make a lot of money doing it!
