This is basically a question for my dad… who is in need of changing his business phone/computer habits. He has a windows vista laptop and a phone that is completely separate from it. he wants to be able to sync contacts, calender, and email between his phone and his computer/email. he currently uses hotmail webmail. Any suggestins? blackberry? Windows mobile?? Will he need to change emails?? Thanks!
It would also be nice to be able to edit word docs and such as well

The best phones available for this task are the Blackberry and Windows Mobile Phones.
Touch screen phones for business are horrible, and should not be chosen due to inefficiency.
When using a Blackberry, or Windows Mobile phone; one can EASILY sync calendars, contacts, and email fairly quickly with an application called Google Sync (link below), and Gmail (the application). He will need to change emails if using Google (it’s worth it, I love Google Apps)

Take into mind; Blackberry push servers work differently than other phones, and are much faster in comparison.
You can easily update your calendar, contacts, and email; on either device, mobile phone or computer; and both will update each other within minutes. (usually 15-45 seconds on a Blackberry)

http://www.calendar.google.com <- super easy to add/remove/edit appointments!
You can view word Documents through the Gmail, though it is not capable of editing (unless it’s the email, then the edit can be sent as a reply), unless one copied and pasted the document into a reply to edit.
-I would recommend a Blackberry due to it’s more stable operating system.
Hope this helps!
