go to a pharmacy and get a more time calling card and use it from the hotel phone as long as they dont charge u for the 1888 number
other than that its either digicel or claro, ask for there overseas unlimited prepaid option
My calling card that I bought in Canada before I left didn’t work there. I’d suggest waiting until you get there and then buying one from the airport or the gift shop at your hotel.
You can visit this Site to Get Cheap Calls

The cheapest way to call back to Canada. If you have a GSM handset, request the unlock code from your carrier. This will allow SIM cards from other carriers to work in your handset. Upon arriving in Jamaica, visit a Digicel store. http://www.digiceljamaica.com/en/retailers/index.php (Link for finding the closest location to you) Purchase a prepaid Sim card for less than $10 CAD. Then you can purchase call credit with your credit card, and many other methods. Digicel currently has a pomotion that has been running from 2009 and will last for the month of February. Its called (GIMMI FIVE). The part of the promotion that relates to you is the GIMMI 5 after 5 minutes on international calls to US, Canada and UK landlines. After a call of 5 minutes, the remainder of that call is free.
Option 2
After buying the SIM CARD sign up for an INTERNATIONAL PLAN with Digicel. International Call Plan 1250 where the subscription fee is JMD $1,250 (CAD $15) includes 1250 minutes to call Canada.
Hope it helps..
