Business internet can be a lot more expensive than the other posters realize. If I understand what you added, then they offered you $160 dollars as reimbursement. You will have to stick to your guns if you want any sort of actual reimbursement for the strong arm tactics they used.
However, it is not quite likely not worth a lawsuit. You’ve been screwed by big business. Try getting them to give you a cash reimbursement and go with another provider if possible, with them paying for the setup.
take the free month. it was 4.5 hours.
it’s 33 bucks a month. that’s about a buck a day. you lost service for about 20% of a day. that’s 20 cents.
are you seriously going to pursue a reimbursment of 20 cents?
really, take the free month and be hapy.
If you read the Comcast "terms of service" it clearly states that it is ENTERTAINMENT service only, not for use with business. They are not responsible if your business loses money from the service going out.
Also, it was only out 4.5 hours. If you pay the full price, and not a promotion, that only works out to $1.43 for an ENTIRE DAY. That means 4.5 hours is only worth about 26 cents. They are not responsible for your business losses.
If you are going to use an entertainment based service for your business needs, then you’d better make sure you have some sort of backup plan. Every good business has a back up plan in case the Internet goes offline.
If you’re this upset about 4.5 hours, just what are you going to do when there is a service outage for 1 day or longer? This stuff happens and isn’t preventable.
Get a back up service for emergencies or sign up for the business service.
