help finding a computer desk to fit my needs?
i just got an apartment with some friends near the university i will be attending in the fall.
i have all my stuff moved in pretty much, but i still haven’t found a desk i am willing to commit to and buy.
i was wondering if anyone could suggest some that maybe they have used. here are some of my wants:
-not to spend too much money
-big enough and stable enough to support my laptop, 36" flat screen, and some work area to write and read and what not.
it doesn’t have to be a huge desk, just sturdy enough to support those three things.
thanks!
i don’t need a monitor or a computer, i need a computer desk, lol.
Do you have a picture as an example Smokies?

If you don’t require drawers for any storage, you could do as I have done. I just use a heavy duty fold-up type table that is 6′ long by 3′ wide. I have a desktop on mine. The processor and monitor sit on it. There is plenty of room for DVD storage and plenty of room for reading and writing. I could even place the printer on this table, but I use a 4′ long by 2′ table for the printer and other miscellaneous things. The separate table for the printer is because printers tend to shake a bit when printing. The surface is "dimpled" on my tables, so you’d have to have a "pad" on the table for a smooth writing surface or look for a table with a smoother surface. I have had this set-up for several years and it has served me well.
