When you had the router installed from frontier they would have asked if you wanted to use this as a wireless router. At the time you must not have needed it, so they did not set it up for you. You could go through the hassle of calling them up to set it up for you, or you could just go the local store and get a cheapie to hook up.
I bought one at my local store for $20 and it was a very simple hookup with the enclosed instructions. That is the route I would take. Plus, if you ever switch from DSL, you will be able to use your router with another provider.
