How can I paint my compressed wood laminated night table and desk black?

I have a compressed wood night table and a desk, but they are like a cherry wood color. I want them to match my black tv stand and coffee table. Have any ideas? I mean, its laminated so I don’t know what to do. Can somebody help me?

lightly sand all surfaces to be painted. Prime all surfaces with a good alkyd ( oil based) primer. Paint with a premium acrylic enamel or any industrial enamel. Enamel has a tight, hard finish and typically creates a good moisture barrier.
Make sure you allow the primer to dry over night, and don’t use a rattle can, use the real stuff.
definitely don’t use spray paint! my roommate and i tried simply spray painting over a laminated entertainment center and it came out streaky and TERRIBLE looking! otherwise the guy above me sounded like he knew what he was talkin about
you will need to lightly sand the items and then paint them
Spray it with a primer seal the primer then paint it or you could put black Formica over what is existing Good Luck
