How do I activate an old cell phone?

My brother is using an old flip phone that his job had given all of its employees through Verizon Wireless. He wants to activate my old LG ENV3 phone and use that instead. When I dialed *228, it asks for the last 4 digits of the social security number on the account. Since this is a business phone we do not have this information. Is there any way to activate an old cell phone under a business account?

Since its a business account, it would be the last 4 of the tax ID number.. If he knows this, he can do it, or he can do it if he gets it from someone at work. However, he could get in big trouble, because his work has a designated contact who is their phone representative- all phone upgrades, changes, etc. must be done through that person. Especially since adding the env3 will add the $10 data plan to his line…
if you dont have the primary account holder’s information you cant activate the phone.
Just use the company phone. Its not a fashion statement its just a phone.
Head on into a Verizon store and they should be able to activate the phone for you, as long as the ESN number is clear.
