First off, try just googling the address. If it is listed in any of the online directories then it should come up.
I have also had good success with netsleuth.com Here’s a link:

If the business is listed it should come up.
you can go to a place like 411.com and do a reverse address search.
dial 1411
You can try going to your States Official Secretary of State site and search the corporations. This assumes that they are registered as a legit business.
If you have an idea of the type of business you can go to Anywho.com and search city/state and type of business.
Otherwise just show up there pretending you were looking for something else and find out what it is.."Ohh..i’m sorry is this not ???" and they’ll say No this is….Just pretend you got the wrong address.
