Call home and tell the person (I.E. Wife) the # you need to call. 2nd. (I.E. Wife) They put you on hold and then dial the phone# you gave them. 3rd. If the number you gave (I.E. With Optimum voice you can use their find me feature, someone calls my house both house and my cell phone ring at the same time. You can also have call forwarding to anywhere set. It might be something worth looking into. There is also 3 way calling possible. Do you have a Cable phone service in your area ?
