Is North Carolina or Texas a good place to live for Hispanic people?
This is to answer MeMe. I love Miami…it is great here but the only problem is that it is pretty expensive. I want more house for my money…I don’t want to pay 00 a month for a nice apartment that in any other place it would cost 0. In Miami a nice big house (2,500 sq ft. 3/2) costs about 0,000… i know i can find a bigger one in NC or TX for half the price. That is why Miami sucks. Also, there are a lot of jobs in TX. Here in Miami, or Fort Lauderdale there is only Citrix, Burger King, and Nortel Networks, as the companies I would work for… and they are not even that big. In TX i know that they have over 50 Fortune 500 companies, in NC I know that IBM…Cisco…. and many big companies have offices. That is why i want to leave Miami…for a better future and more for my money.

I think Texas would be your best bet when looking for both Hispanic people and culture. As "Texas Happy" mentioned, Texas is a border state so the Hispanic population is quite large (35.7% as of 2006).
Dallas and Houston both are going to be huge players if you’re looking for a Fortune 100,500, 1000 company for employment…and both cities have large Hispanic populations. You even have the option of completely immersing yourself in the Hispanic culture (should you choose to live in a dominate Hispanic area) where the Spanish language would be considered primary.
Texas like the other border states has a large Hispanic population.
With the housing cost, as anywhere it is going to depend on where within the states you choose to live. Then also what neighborhood within the cities you choose.
I would say Texas would be better. I haven’t been to SC myself but I have owned a home in Gainesville TX, which is near the bored of OK, but still were a lot of Mexicans. The people in Texas, no matter what race, were very friendly.. somtimes so friendly it was weird! I live in Chicago now.. there isn’t anyone like them here. I would try your luck out there..I doubt you would be sorry.
NC we have too many in TX already!
Texas,
we have alot of hispanic here, everywhere you go you will see one.
