Check your employment agreement, you may see that they have informed you.
But the phone and the lines belong to the company, they can record if they so choose. In fact it’s fairly common practice.
It is illegal in most states to record a telephone conversation without advising the other party you are doing so.
I have NEVER seen a company with a customer service department that does not record the conversations. I am almost certain it is in your employee manual, or some other agreement which you signed. If not, it is illegal. Just because the company owns the phones and the equipment does not entitled them to record private conversations.
Varies from State to State. Though it’s obvious if they did they would get away with it. Because you can’t sue them for Libel.
It depends who recorded it if its your employer I would not think so
Yeah it’s called the U.S. Constitution, but good luck in this insipid day and age of the media-lobotomized.
