I need some help! I have a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, which I finished May 2006. After graduating, I worked a few retail jobs, until I landed a pretty good collections job with Chrysler Financial in 2007. At the time, it was a good job because it was pretty good pay but overtime, the company had a lot of problems, eventually resulting in me getting laid off in September 2009. Two months later, I got another call center job, now working straight up customer service at Prescription Solutions. What sucks about it it’s now .83 less an hour than I made at my previous job. So I have spent the last 5 years…well, the last 4 years…working in call centers and not using my degree. I wanted to be a video camera operator but the market for that is not great. (My experience in college with this degree is sub par.) Anyway, I really want to get out of the call center gig. It’s a dead end job and I know I’m better than that, I should be making a lot of money and working a job I would enjoy and make a real career out of. But I can’t figure out how to begin. I live in the Kansas City metro area and I just don’t know where to begin. At this point, I probably have severe depression because of this, on top of the issues I have with the debt I have, which is also causing a major strain on my marriage. And my father died last December, and I failed to show him what I could of done with this degree. I don’t believe he was proud of me, because I’m not proud of myself at all. I just got married 4 months ago! What do I do? I’m so lost here and I’ve just about given up but I am desperate for something I can use my actual degree with.

Ok, so i can get the whole part with putting my history and all in, but this stupid cover letter has got me stumped. I’ve been out of school for years, and the stupid online places dont make anysense to me. i’m going to list my strengths and all and things i’d like to include (i’m applying for an executive secretary position at a doctors office) and if you could give me some pointers, or ideas that would be AMAZING.

I lost my job in june end but luckily I had already started my long cherished Interior Decoration /joinery business in Feb 08. As yet the business is not doing that great. Staff that came is avarage calibre. Lots of money down in mutual funds, lost an expensive phone, parents health steaply gone down in last 4 months. It looks to me every thing I touch goes negetive. I am planning on writing him a complaint letter about the atrocious customer service I have received from Comcast. After trying to deal with Comcast customer service representatives for 4 months over the telephone, I have decided to resort to my old tried and true method of going straight to the top. That method usually gets results.

I purhcased a desk at walmart around 3 or 4 months ago, I started putting it together yesterday and found various missing pieces, broken screws, and pieces. Unfortunetly I have already thrown out the box, I have no idea where the receipt is, and the desk is 80% put together, things are breaking as I open drawers, and I am furoius.

Is it worth trying to get walmart to do anything about this, or am I to late in the game, and I just through money down the drain?

What could cause this? Is it a defect? Should I take it back to Best Buy? I did buy the Best Buy warranty.

I had a man agree to sell me his bar business, in Georgia. While no papered contract was signed (he promised me one, yet never delivered it) he did agree through text messages, his preferred way of communication, to "finance" the bar to me, saying he wanted out of the bar business by the end of the year. We did have a verbal agreement that outlined all details of the sale, re: price, terms, etc. Some of these terms were listed in text messages from his phone to my phone.Some of these text messages have been deleted from my phone.
I did work there for 4 months, correcting a number of problems, like employee back taxes not being paid and improper pay to the employees, etc. I did address those issues with the seller and he paid the taxes, and I changed the pay system properly.
During this time, I was made aware of possible social security fraud and credit card fraud, being committed by one of the employees
I did report these allegations to the seller, and also I reported these allegations, including a signed statement from the customer, to the local police. I tried that day to to fire the employee, but the seller forbade me from doing so, even demanding that I allow her to work. When I informed seller that I had filed the police report, he became very irate with me for doing so and, through text messages I still have, demanded that I retract my report to the police.
Over the next two weeks, the seller accused me of wrongdoing, even addressing me as a "fool" and "idiot" in the presence of the other employees.
I then had a second customer call me to inquire about a 3 charge to his credit card that he says he did not make. I told the seller about this customer, and the seller demanded that I do not report this to the police. I also have the transactions from this customer. The seller then came to the bar and said that he was "firing" me, stating, for the first time, that I was hired only as his general manager. (I have this conversation on a taped recording). He also called the police and had me barred from returning to the bar, even as a customer.
As a results of his firing me, on the same day just minutes afterwards, I suffered a stroke and ended up in the hospital, due to the stress from this incident. So not only am I out of what was to be my future business, I am now basically unemployable with other companies. Two weeks later, after the termination, the seller mailed me a separation notice, stating I was an employee, and listing the reason for firing me was due to lack of work. He also included a check for “back pay”, 00.00 net total, that he claims was my “pay” for that time period. I never filled out any tax papers, G-4 or W-4, while working there, but did attempt to give the accounting firm all my tax info, which they never took from me. Normally, the seller would tell me that I could only get paid if there was enough money in the bank at the end of the month. I did receive a total of ,700, other than the back pay check in my time there.
I’m not sure if this falls under a “whistle blower” type case, or as an employment case, or as breach of crontract.since I was fired and listed as an employee on the seperation notice. I have tried to contact the EEOC, but their web site says they won’t look into cases where the company has less than 15 employees, and I can’t reach anyone over the phone to be advised as to who I should contact. I feel that I have been terminated for disclosing the frauds and would like advise as what to do. I am even willing to represent myself in a civil court case, to try and win some sort of compensation or my bar business back, as I can’t find a lawyer that wants the case. The verbal contract would be stronger if I can get back the teext messages, as I’m told two different things from the cell phone company concerning the deleted text messages: they can’t be retrieved once deleted, and, I can get them back but only with a subpeona.
Any advice/help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

First, I understand that this sound arrogant so let me do this.

Disabled: 20 years paraplegic, walking but not well.
Broke: I have been trying not to take advantage of a system that I have little respect for, but lost my job 4 months ago. Not physically suited to much, and lacking documented education.
Highly intelligent: tested 11 out of 12 years of school to be of higher intelligence than 95 percent of the schools I attended. Special placement for "gifted kids" until I moved to a state my senior year that didn’t have such a program.

Here’s my question: I have been developing a concept for a website for several years. I have recently found that another company has started something similar but does not exploit the full opportunity available, but they Just got M in funding. There is only one competitor to that sight right now doing things slightly differently, but they are off to a slow start, and seem kind of half in. And, there have been 2 other companies that both went broke in earlier days of the internet seemingly doing something similar. The 2 from the past are harder to research but it seems they both spent way too much money on advertising and not enough on the business of the business. How do I protect the idea and find somebody to develope an actual representation of the full site with all of it’s intricasies when I don’t have any money?

Unfortunately I have never written a business plan and find it rather intimidating, but I can justify and explain every little nuance, from the business, to the backend, to the marketing and the execution. It seems that one of the dead companies may have patented parts of its’ process, and this too may be an issue, but phone calls and research thus far all have led to the need to spend money I just don’t have. I’m not affraid to share, and I am truly not greedy, but I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag to be snatched and made into some foreign meal.

Has anybody out here had experience with situations like this? Can you help? Looking for an investment?

Please allow me to be clear. I don’t have the knowledge or experience to create this site myself. I am an idea guy, and am looking to find out how to execute. I don’t have 20 years to aquire all the needed knowledge that others already have specialized in, and need to employ / partner with the needed skills to get this done.

Note: I am looking into going back on disability, and filing bankruptcy. Though until 4 months ago I had very good credit, right now that is shot and recovery must be quick or I will be forced to start all over. I would much rather pay my debts and move on with my life with dignity and self-respect if I can find any way to do so.
