I’m switching from verizon to a prepaid company, and I have a really nice LG Chocolate, that I really don’t want to replace. I’ve looked at at&t, Sprint, Net10 and Virgin Mobile and can’t seem to find any companies that will let me keep my old phone.

It’s strictly legal (licensed, insured, bonded), and I’ve mailed 200 postcards, put flyers on windshields, and a magnet on my car door that shows my company name, logo, telephone, website, amd email. Been doing this since October, and not one person has called. This is pathetic. I keep paying insurance premiums every month, but as far as advertising in the newspapers & yellowpages (online & phone book) it’s way too expensive. Help?
Thanks to all of you guys who took the time to answer my question. Great responses!!

I bought the veerizon wireless droid w/ the qwerty keyboard a week after it came out. I also got the warranty. Now I am bored with it and want the new droid incredible. How could I get it w/out having to upgrade/pay? Do you think it would work if I say I lost my droid & then get a new phone under my warranty?

Right now I have cricket wireless, and I love their unlimited wireless plans, and the price for them. I’m wondering if there are any other cell phone companies in or around Houston that offer better phones, like a PDA touch screen phone. I tried AT&T but I have no credit and they want a 0 deposit. Maybe one that doesn’t require a huge deposit.

Just curious as to whether or not anyone knows if there’s a toll-free number that will tell me how the Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 did for the day. Thanks!

I want a phone STRICTLY for texting. What service would be cheapest to get unlimited texting? Should I get a prepaid phone like Net 10, Tracfone, etc.. Or get a prepaid phone like Alltel Prepaid (I think is the best bet), Verizon, or AT&T Prepaid? I live in an Idaho area (83234). What would be the cheapest to get just unlimited texting on?

So I am looking forward for a Nokia N8 that runs with Symbian^3, or a Cherry Mobile Superion or Magnum phone running on Android 2.2. I don’t care of the availability of software and free installations, but I am more concerned of speed and operating system.
If you haven’t heard of the Cherry Mobile, here’s the spec of what I am talking about : http://www.cherrymobile.com.ph/products_inner.php?id=114&title=Superion
The point is, I want to spend less money for a more functional and faster phone. N8 is about 550 US Dollars now here in the Philippines, while the Cherry Mobile running with Android is about 433.33 US Dollars only. And I expect both phones’ prices will go lower as Christmas or Summer 2011 approaches.

I currently use Mediacom for internet & cable, and Imon for phone. Imon might be a better deal for all 3 but looking at both their websites to figure it out is tough. I want a third-party website that would show me apples-to-apples exactly what each provides at what price.

I am an AT&T customer and my friend who has Verizon just got a texting plan. I’m wondering what the Verizon text messaging plans are and how many texts that the Verizon customer gets to non-verizon people for each plan. Thanks!

I blocked calls from Justin on my Samsung Propel on AT&T.
Now I want him to be able to call me, but the phone doesn’t give me an option to unblock him.
"Add to reject list" appears on the menu under his name, but if I try that it says he’s already on the list. No duh. But I want him off! Help?

Some body used my phone (ONCE!) to call a cell phone. Now that cell phone calls my house at 1:54 AM…. I need my sleep.
I tried to do CALL BLOCK which is supposed to be a feature on my AT&T phone service. But that gets me a message that I can not block that number??? When I call them they say they need a NAME of who the caller is? IT IS A NUMBER! Why does that service not work? Is there any way for me to block that caller? I can not block all un-identified caller because my own cell phone could not get through if I had an emergency.
To me the same ability that allows the number to show up on caller ID is all that the phone company needs to BLOCK these calls. Help some one tell me what to do to block ONE caller from a cell phone… forgive my irratic typing, i have had no sleep.
I have got caller rejection, caller ID and all of the premium services. That is why I am so frustrated when they (my phone service provider) claims they can not block a cell phone because they need a NAME. The service should block the number, everything else in this computerized world is based on numbers. I can not access my own phone account unless I give a list of numbers (my social security and others like birth date ect..) but when it comes to a logical use for numbers they can not do this??? I think it is BOGUS. They are probably coming out soon with a new charge for blocking these!
