I currently have two POTS lines (possibly adding a third in the future) that I need limited call handling capabilities for. Specifically, I need a system/solution that will route incoming calls by ANI; for example, route specific ANIs to a certain extension (note: extension, not DID).
I’ve attempted to ‘do my homework’, and I’ve found this feature with larger systems – which I will consider – however migration to BRI/PRI/T1 isn’t an option due to my location. My location has no cable (cable internet), no DSL, and ISDN would more than quadruple my current monthly cost. So, basically using the current POTS lines are a given, and any solution will have to accommodate limitation. A one-time expense I can deal with, but an huge monthly bill from the local telco I can’t afford. Obviously, due to the above a VOIP solution isn’t feasible (that would be so simple if only…).
I’m familiar with programming (older) AT&T/Lucent/Avaya Partner systems, and I’m willing to take on a different model or vendor (I have friends who can help with programming as well).
All of the above being said, to ‘sum it up’ my issue is figuring out what equipment I need to route specific ANIs to specific extensions.
I know this is a bit ‘out-of-the-box’. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I am trying to set up my Avaya VOIP phone (model 5610SW IP), but I can’t get past the exchanging keys stage. The phone keeps reading with the following error: IP IKE Phase 1 No Response; error code 3997700:0. I’ve been over this issue with my job’s tech support department since they are the ones who provided the phones and set them up in our office without any issues. Would this be a problem with my internet provider? I have Hotwire and I’m thinking that since they have a monopoly over our apartment complex, they may have placed certain restrictions on how the residents use the internet connection. I was also thinking it might be my router? I have a Motorola SBG900 Wireless Surfboard Gateway. Has anyone run into an issue like this in the past and resolved it?

…cordless headset phone?
The Avaya 10U100 was manufactured by Plantronics and private-labeled with the Avaya logo. It is identical to the Plantronics CT10. I need a battery but they have been discontinued. Help!!

I have a WRT160N V2 router. I am currently trying to get to the routers homepage so I can get an open NAT for my 360. The problem is, is that I can’t even access it. Now what I know is that I believe that either my mother’s work computer or work phone (avaya brand if that matters) is actually changing my routers default ip address to 10.2.2.1 instead of 192.168.1.1. I have typed in 10.2.2.1 on multiple browsers (chrome, IE, Firefox) and nothing seems to be working. I have done multiple router resets (with the ip address changing as soon as my mothers phone/computer are connected to it. There is no possible way for me to change the settings on my mothers computer/phone because she works for an insurance company and if I accidentally deleted something or messed something up I would be dead.
Basically I need someone just to help me access the router page. I would be really appreciated if you could help me.
edit: and yes, the computer i am using is directly hooked up to my router
I already know the default gateway. Did you even read what i wrote?

I am an Avaya voice technician that would like to migrate over to the Cisco VOIP systems. What do clients look for? CCNA, etc? Please share how you got your experience. Basically I am an old PBX head that needs to get up on the data/VOIP world.
Thanks for your help.

I don’t really have a ton of knowledge about small business phone systems. I am attempting to play royalty free music over our phone system while we put people on hold. We have an Avaya (old school Lucent) Partner ACS system with 1 main unit and 2 extension units. It is R 4.1 version and we are currently running 4 lines off it and 10 extensions. There is a "Music on Hold" RCA jack in the front of the main unit. Right now we have an RCA cable attached to that from a computer where we are playing music to get it working. We hear nothing and have tried numerous things like making sure the feature is programmed on a phone, etc. Any help or ideas? Do we need a music coupler to make this work or a smaller watt source? Thanks for your help!

I am trying to find the correct symbol so I can look up the historic price when I bought the stock originally. When I look up any symbols listed under Avaya, nothing returns a price of on the 6/11/07 date. This is what my paperwork states for my tax return
