Should I advertise on Facebook, and start a Blog? Does anyone have experience with this?

This is more of a hobby than a serious business venture.

I want to start my own sports blog, and I need web hosting to do it. What is the best web hosting out there now? Are there any web hosts where you can preorder web hosting for someone else as a gift, or where you can buy a web hosting gift card? I might want web hosting for Christmas if it’s possible to do.

For the question i had asked before regarding my account details [cnbc505@yahoo.com],there is no exact reply.Is yahoo really involved in answering questions,I don’t think so.It just created one blog[answers.yahoo.com] for popularity.And now really the decline of yahoo starts.It can’t provide his customer account details,instead having huge technical support and servers .It is not going to satisfy his customers by any means any more. I have lost all my valuable information,documents and almost every thing!.So please guyz don’t create E-mail account in yahoo.It Kills you cruelly by changing passwords.

I purchased dailyham.com and hamdaily.com a few months ago with the goal of starting a blog or business that would make money online. I purchased both in case someone got the two words crossed up. I believe the domain name is catchy and easy to remember. In all my brainstorming sessions I have not come up with any solid ideas for content. Any ideas you might have will be appreciated greatly.

I have a Dell computer, Windows XP. It’s been my friend untill recently. Our local phone company made some "updates" and seemed to have messed up my system. Their Tech helped with the internet (DSL) connection but it’s not still not right. Even my wireless isn’t working any more. Each member of my family has their own desktop on my comp. Each can access the internet as well. Except me that is. I can get my email from my local connection but that’s it. I can’t get onto Yahoo, or my blog, or my website, or anything else!!!! I don’t understand computers much, but I’m a writer and it’s my only connection w/ the world for business. Help!
OK… I know I’m on the web. Duh.
Each member of my family has their own desktop from which to work. My desktop doesn’t let met go to the web. The other desktops (all in the same computer) do. I posted this by going to my husband’s desktop. When I click the icon for this site on my desktop, I get a note saying that it can’t connect and I should check the address for a misspelling. I also can’t connect to any other website via my desktop.
As for security… I have it all…. and it’s up to date. I’ve done lots of scans now I’m conserned that perhaps something may have been deleated that shouldn’t have been.
