For instance, I can’t get access to my blood test results through this crummy automated system on the phone, and I tried calling my doctor’s office for help.

Got some stupid answering message saying, "Please call back at normal business hours".

I’m like, "Urghhh!!! I JUST got home after being at work since 8 am! When am I *supposed* to freakin’ call!?! In the middle of work??"

I have a major problem this the e-mail that I sent to BBB :

"I have a HP laptop Pavilion dv7 that I purchased from Wal-Mart brand new in 2008. A couple months after the manufactures warranty expired I accidentally dropped my laptop at school but it did not break anything but the faceplate over the charger port; however, the laptop was still use able but it did not charge. I took my laptop to my local computer store in Roxboro,NC. They informed me that we did not work with the power port and that I would have to go to different company that does good work with charger ports. Due to my schedule I just went to the closets computer shops on the list, so with that I went to Danville,VA to ‘Computer Clinics’ located on 932 Arnett Boulevard Danville, VA 24540-2233 (P-(434) 791-2111). Once I got there I told the receptionist what happened and I was told that I would receive a phone call once the technician looks at my laptop. A couple of days went by and I received a phone call while at work from Computer Clinics stating that I would be charged 0.00 fee + .00 for parts. So I agreed to it and I was told that I would receive a phone call once my laptop was ready for pick-up only to my disbelief I get a call saying that my motherboard was broken and that there was no charge for the services, it would be fairly expensive to repair the motherboard in which it would be cheaper to purchase another laptop. So I wanted to check my laptop out myself but my schedule didn’t work around the business hours of Computer Clinics so I asked a friend to pick it up for me. When he got to Computer Clinics a technician told him that my password that I gave them did NOT work. So once I had my laptop in my possession I noticed that the charger port was now fixed but the laptop itself would not power on. So the following Saturday I return with several witness before I contact the BBB with a case and have a little talk with the technicians. They could not find the written ticket that was written up but found some information on their computer systems, I talked with the technician named John who told me that he would look at my laptop the following Monday morning. Before closing time on Monday I called back to Computer Clinics to see what was resolved and I was told by another technician that my laptop motherboard was broken where the charger port was at and it could not be turned on. And quoted me a price of a new motherboard for my laptop.

I’m highly upset with this company and the only thing I want done is my laptop fixed. Before I brought my laptop to Computer Clinics I used my laptop at school charging my battery with my sister’s computer since we have the same computer just different styling. I have all my voice mails from the computer clinics receptionist and my call logs from my cell phone and my slip from Computer Solutions in Roxboro, NC referring to different computer businesses that could fix the charger port since most companies would not touch a charger port."

I know I’m not a computer tech but I know there story doesn’t add up and that laptop was the top of the line HP Laptop at the time and I had no intentions of getting a new one or having it in use. I would like to know some information about how to get my laptop fixed by the company that royally screwed me over – pardon my language and it basically trying to weasel their way out of not fixing it- unless I pay. Please I need someone(s) help to what my next step I should take. Also note that this takes place within two different states: NC, VA.

Really long try and stick with me people

My fiance is part owner in an online personal training company. He was working with a couple of women that lived a couple hours away from us. One of the woman we’ll call E started calling and texting late at night around 9 or even 10 P.M. I told him that he needed to set boundries, she never called with anything urgent or anything that couldnt wait until the morning. I told him to tell her to only call during regular business hours or unless it was an emergency. He always said "ok i will" but she didnt stop so im assuming he never told her.
They took the site offline to completely revamp the site about 7 months ago and they just put it back up. As far as i know there was no contact between them during this time period.
The other day i needed to get on ebay to look for some textbooks and he told me to use his account. He didnt remember what his user id was so he said to put in his email and have them send him his id. So i did that and then i went to his email to get the ebay id.
While i was in his email i saw there were some emails going back and forth with E so i checked it out. He had said the new system was up and wanted to tell her about it. E wanted to set up a time to talk and he responded he wanted to meet with her to tell her about the big picture. He said he would call her on friday (last week)
-I dont understand why a meeting is necessary its a website…i dont see why a phone call isnt good enough and why he isnt contacting the other woman about it that had worked just as hard?-
The next night we were having dinner and his phone went off letting him know he had a text. When he brought the phone from the counter to the table i saw that it was E texting him. He didnt read it just set the phone down. When he went to the bathroom i hit a button so it would light up and i could get the gist of the message and it said "just remembered i cant m" and thats all it showed without me opening it. He came out and was playing with his phone then we left to go to my parents to pick up thier dog(pet sitting). When we were almost there his text message signal went off again. He refused to come in with me (i assume so he could read and text back).
When we got home he took a shower and i looked for the texts to see if they were planning to meet or something and all of her messages were gone while none from anyone else were. Also she was deleted from the call log.

A while after we first started dating his ex was always calling and texting him. I would find out and ask him about it and he would lie to my face until id grab his phone and bring it up. I gave him an ultimatum to stop talking to her or i was gone (she was playing mind games to get him to go back to her and he was "too nice" to say get lost"
So now it seems to me like something odd is going on with this E woman. He didnt say they were talking again and planning a meeting…he’s deleting messages from her…the only difference between now and the past is he has gotten better at hiding things….this worries me. Should i try to see if they meet and he tells me the truth or should i call him out on it now?

i already have a sonyericsson W810i, which is mainly based for entertainment. how i prefer to buy a mobile phone which will be more helpful for me during my business hours…

it should be able to read .doc,.pdf,.pps, other commonly used files with extra features.

Prior to doing a System Recovery on my lap top this evening (that originally had IE 7 factory installed by the manufacturer) in the past month or two, I downloaded and installed the full version of IE 8, however I’ve had this problem before where I installed IE 8, and due to Data Execution Prevention, when I opened the web browser window, it would close/quit seconds later. At that time, a technician over the phone showed me how to fix/rectify the problem, and this time around I only have Data Execution Prevention set to essential not all things (Control Panel on Vista (all, not classic view) > System and Maintenance > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention – which is currently set to "Turn DEP on for essential Windows programs and services only" Not: "Turn DEP on for all programs and services except those I select"

I had it set to "essentials" prior to the system recovery I conducted/did earlier this evening, and IE 8 opened, ran, and functioned ok.

Microsoft is closed for phone support until business hours during the week, which is why I’m asking on here.

My ISP can’t help with this query, as it’s to do with a Microsoft product/software.

Could it be the Add Ons settings that need to be adjusted/changed in the Internet Options of IE 8?

My Job, St. Elizabeth Health Support in New Hartford New York, is about to have the Customer Service Rep carry a laptop during off business hours. This Laptop would contain our Patient’s Inquiry System, Billing Information, Personal Information of the patients which contains patients names, address, SS#, Phone#, DOB, Insurance Info, Personal Contact, etc. Doing this outside of the facility/company to me would be a violation of HIPPA and Patients Rights. I also work at another place during the weekends to where i’m surrounded by people, even at home, I have a house full of children and there’s no privacy there. I asked the Director wouldnt this be a violation of HIPPA ? He stated "NO". The procedure would be that we would have to carry cell phones and when a patient needs equipment (DME) we are to enter the order on the laptop, verify patients information, (address & phone#) verify insurance and process accordingly to our delivery people. I’m surrounded by people during my off hours from the facility. Would this be a violation of HIPPA ?

we have a seasonal service business and it is never convenient to answer the phone let alone take notes
during business hours–collecting customer data and
putting everything in our files at home and following up
on jobs and potential jobs is suffering because of it.

We have decided that the only way to take control of
the situation is to have a call center answer the phone
and update our files while it happens and call us if
we need to get with someone right away and send us
a log of everything that happened phone call wise that
day.

I have concerns that during the peak hours of the day that
phones will not get answered and a poor operator could
lose valuable information by not recording it in the comment
section.

Anything would be better than the system we have now and
the same goes for contacting customers 5-6 times a year
for renewal work.

I called up a business and there is not any reason in the world why they do not have an automated answering system. "For job opportunities, press 1, for business hours and locations press 2, etc."

I called this big business up and there was not any automated phone system. The guy on the phone provided me with complete, idiotic, misinformation. I should of asked to talk to the boss because he should of been disciplined.Oh well.

I called a big business up and the wrong person answered the phone. I asked the person on the phone about employment and he said "the american economy is not good right now." Obviously he was not qualified to answer the question and he should have been fired.

I am a high school student and own my own business. I have a problem since I need to answer business phone calls via cell phone since I am at school during business hours.

I have heard of services that provide you with your own business phone number, automated answering set-up, and call forwarding to your cell phone.

Does anyone know of any services like this or have any other solutions to my problem? Thank you.
