My fiance’s employer (who has done some fishy things before, like altering hours in the computer system, trying to get employees to take "partial" overtime payment under the counter, etc) has passed out a paper to all of the employees. Basically it says that effective immediately, if an employee is seen on a cell phone or making personal calls on the business phone, they will be docked 15 minutes of pay. Is it legal for an employer to alter hours like that? I thought that employers could write employees up and fire them, but that altering hourly pay was off-limits. I can’t seem to find anything on the labor laws in PA regarding this, everything I find involves salary employees rather than hourly.

I have been searching for a while and am looking for a free or very cheep service to add phone extensions to our main business phone line. For Example: "Thank you for calling, please dial 1 for Peter, 2 for Mary and 3 for customer service".
We currently use google voice and I have not found a feature on their to do this. Also, found a few other companies… RingCentral.com, Phone.com, etc. that have this as a feature… but they want to per month. We just need the one feature, not all of them (Toll Free Number, Fax, Screening, etc.).
Anyone out their have any creative solutions?

Its my brothers 17th birthday next month and he needs a new phone so i said i would get one for him. He doesn’t know what he wants and said he will be happy with anything. (very mature thing to say)
Im 23 and have a htc touch pro but i think its a little advanced for him, I couldn’t see him using its features its more of a business phone over a fun phone.
So any suggestions would be appreciated

I work for a family-owned company. One of the owners continuously gets calls from "Online Pharmacy." He, as well as several office personnel, have asked him not to call anymore. He continues to call back. This has gone on for months. He will call right back if we hang up or put him on hold. He has gotten rude with several of my employees, as well as overstepping the line by telling me (thinking I was the owner), "You need to buy. Your wife is beautiful….." and "I’m just wanting to build friendship." When I asked him what his phone number and address is, he said, "What? No address." He uses several names such as Joe, Mike, and John. We even asked for his supervisor one time and when we said something about talking to Mike (as the caller had identified himself as such), the supervisor didn’t know who we were talking about. The Do Not Call Registry is for individuals. Can I register a business phone since he is calling for an indiv? Owner uses this address/phone for his crd card billing
Any other advice would be appreciated.

First thing you have to know is that i hate touch screens.I have studied the market,and i came across a few very nice phones,with qwerty keyboards.
1.Blackberry bold.also the most expensive,has 3G,wifi and everything you might need.the only thing that might bother me is the leather back,which i can cover with one of those rubbery things
)
2.Blackberry 8900.its newer than yhe bold,has no 3g,middle class business phone,less expensive,but worse build quality.
3.Htc snap.hmmm.i don’t really know what to think about this phone…i like the battery,and the inner circle,but apart from that you tell me
)
4.the fourth phone is the sony ericsson aspen…has a …mini touch sceern??ahain,you help me =))
5.the nokias.nokia e series.the thing i dont really like about them is the operating system.
i accept opinions an all of the ones above,and i also accept other ideas.thx

I’m looking at a cell phone from any company except for Sprint/Nextel. The price needs to be less than like 0 for the phone and like a month to get the fone with a plan because I don’t need like a super powerful business phone (With minimal minutes for the plan but txting). I’m thinking about the enV or the sidekick, something with a qwerty keyboard. Any other suggestions are helpful!

Magic Jack has no business address and no business telephone to file complaints!!!
The "unlimited" internet phone works for a few months, then it disable your line and there is no one to complaint to… MAGIC JACK has NO BUSINESS ADDRESS and NO BUSINESS PHONE OR FAX if you wish t file a complaint or ask for a refund… THE LIVE CHAT SUPPORT makes you run circles when you are trying to get a refund because their lines do not always work…. IS THERE ANYONE WHO KNOW HOW TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST SUCH UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS???

Can the texts -not calls- going to my other phone be fowarded to me on the 2nd line automatically? One phone is primarily business, and the other is personal. There are times when I dont take calls on the business phone, but I’d like to get any texts sent to it (to keep "tabs") without carrying the phone. For the record, I have Sprint.
