How do I get my American Telecom wireless handset to display the callers' ID it used to display?

We just purchased a used 2007 Chevy Suburban. I am able to call out from the navigation system, but it shows another phone number on the receiver of the calls caller id. I need to set up the bluetooth connection to my cell phone.
Like I said I do not know much about phones. At my work I have a nortel networks phone. It’s older but I was wondering if it has caller ID and if so how to use it. Thank you
I just got a 2 yr contract w/ Cingular(At&t) and have a new phone in my name. Problem is when I call a landline phone it has someone else name. I calld cingular and they said their systems are updated and show my name. They said to just erase all the memory off my called id.To me that doesnt make sense plus my phones have built in caller id.How would i get this fixed?
It needs caller ID, and answering machine and two handsets.
The phone only needs a one line connection since one of two is dedicated to credit card validations/Internet connections.
I have always had good luck with Panasonic, but I was wondering if there is any other brands that are as good or better.
I am trying to prove that I made a call from a pay phone in Berkeley. CA in early 2005. I have been told by someone at the phone company that if you use only coins, no phone card, that there is no record of outgoing phone calls from pay phones. (This is incredible–what if a terrorist makes calls with coins from a pay phone–no way to figure out who he called?) The pay phone I used is owned by Pacific Bell/SBC (now AT&T). It is a standard Elcotel Series-5 which has no recording capability. So if there is a record, it has to be in some part of the phone company’s data storage, right? The other end of the phone call was made to a phone at the City Manager’s office in the City of Berkeley, California. The phones in the CIty Manager’s office have Caller ID. Would there be a record of incoming calls? I have been falsely accused and this is my only proof (it has to exit somewhere!)
We get a lot of soliciting phone calls that I typically screen with caller id, but it’s annoying to know that almost half the calls we receive are from solicitors. How do I stop them all from calling?
I call using my cell phone from AT&T to Sallie Mae using *67 (which is a 1-800) and they still have my number appear because a recordings asks me do I want my number ***-***-**** to be added to their system.I understand that emergency services such as 911 have this ability but why does Sallie Mae have it. It defeats the purpose of having caller id blocking to big companies. I feel like I cannot use my cell phone to call any big companies/business and have to use my landline. The purpose of my cell phone is for my friends, family, and private use only.
Okay, so since I’m finding phones with good reviews in some places, not so good in others (basically a mix all across the board) I’m not sure quite what to get or where to find info and look. We need a 5.8 GHz cordless phone, multiple lines is NOT a necessity, with caller ID, and a good battery life (9 hours min) and good range. The one complaint from different people on different phones seems to be the range – for some reason I’ve come across two different reviews for phones that state something along the lines that the phone has only a 15 yard range (and mind you these reviews come from different people and are almost the only bad review to the good ones). Suggestions/thoughts/opinions?
I keep recieving these annoying phone calls from a company calling themselves ‘infocity’ asking to update our online yellow pages listing. No number or name shows on the caller id. I would block these calls, but as a business I may lose customers. Does anyone have the same problem? What can I do? I have asked them to remove our number from their system but they obviously have not. What to do? Please help.
i would realy like to know because i need to tell them off. They have been calling and this is what the conversation is like:
"Hello"
…
click
so i would really appertiate it. if you could find out.
(the reason i dont use the caller id is because it is always busy.)
I have three different voicemail systems that I need to check daily. Two of them, both business lines, I can do nothing about. But my home phone’s voicemail is fair game.
I hate checking my voicemail so much that I took action – I recorded a long greeting where I read the first paragraph of "The Old Man and the Sea" and then say "If your message is urgent enough to have listened to me read the first paragraph of The Old Man and the Sea, then please leave it. Otherwise I will return all calls I see on the caller id".
Who else hates voicemail? What steps do you take to stop people from leaving you unnecessary voicemail messages?
I have a cellphone which is a business line that my employer provides to me and requires me to have. There is no "dump the phone" option here.
Also, as stated in my question, two of the lines are business lines. There is no "forward the home phone lines to one of the other lines" option here.
Nice try, though.
i have this model, and i want to subscribe for caller ID but i don’t know what number to call, and if caller ID is free or not.. could anyone help?
I answer phones for a living. Tonight, so far, the phone has rung 6 times in the last 20 minutes and I’m getting no response to my answer! I’ve even started logging it (ok, it’s boring tonight!). It’s pretty regular, about every 3-5 minutes, and after I do my answering spiel, the line goes dead in about 5 seconds. I tried just picking up the phone and listening—-that time the line stayed live for 47 seconds! Yes, the phone has caller id, but it’s showing as "external call unknown number." I’m just curious as to if it could be ANYTHING else besides pranksters!!
I put it in this category because it seems like a psychological experiment to me!!!
My boyfriend has VOIP and we believe his wife (they are going thru a divorce) has somehow found a way to unblock all incoming blocked numbers. Even if I use *67 my name/number show up on the caller ID, as well as all other anonymous or blocked calls they receive. Is this possible?
