We’re in a community of less than 60k. I don’t know if a traffic to our website would matter?
It is a landscape construction company, so having a customer is Canada won’t help me, alas. I do have a website, but just use it as a portfolio.

Macroeconomics question?

Me and my friend are stuck on this question. I had B as my answer why my friend had D in this answer, which is right

2. Which of the following activities would be included in the calculation of GDP for Canada?

A. Nortel, a Canadian company, produces telecommunications equipment at a manufacturing facility in Ireland.

B. In Canada, the Goodyear Tire Company manufactures 100,000 tires. The tires are to be sold to a Canadian-based General Motors plant, which will put them on new automobiles.

C. Joe chops down a cherry tree on his property and makes a dining room table. A similar table sells for 0 in a local furniture store.

D. Ford, a leading U.S. automobile company, produces 70,000 Ford Freestars at its Oakville, Ontario plant and exports them to the United States.

Weather tracking software?

I was wondering if there was any FREE weather tracking software out there that I can use to track storms in the winter…… Thanks so much
(btw I live in Canada!)

Which of these things will happen first?

a) The global warm-mongers will be proven right as Canada fights an infestation of rogue bananas that spread like dandelions.

b) The Toronto Maple Leafs win another Stanley Cup

c) The Nortel stock I bought rises back to the value that I bought it at.

d) I get a million Yahoo! Answers points

e) I win the World Belching Championship

…as I read about several thousand more Nortel job cuts as jobs move from Canada and the US to Mexico, China, India…

On my spreadsheet, Column A has a list of companies. Companies that are located in the United Kingdom end in “UK” (example “Queensland Dairy UK”), those that are in Canada end in “CA” (example “Nortel CA”), and those that are in Australia end in “AU” (example “Aussie Telecom AU”). Companies that are located within the United States do not have this ending.

I want to design Column B so that each cell looks at the corresponding cell from Column A and if it contains “UK,” populate “UK” on the cell. If “UK” is not contained, do nothing. I will probably want to design Column C for “AU,” “CA,” or combinations of conditions such as populate a “1” if there is either “AU” or “CA.”

Can someone please tell me what function I can use for this? There is no need to write the whole thing out there, I just need enough info for me to go to look it up on Yahoo! and figure out the rest. And just to be confusing …. some of the designations are embedded in a parenthesis (example “(UK)”).

Can I use a Canadian cell phone in Thailand?

I’m in Canada right now and will be going to Bangkok soon. I have a Samsung cell phone and was wondering if I can bring it and use it in Thailand like I do here. I know that I have to get a new Thai SIM card. But do they have the same cell phone system (e.g. GSM, CDMA, etc.)? I think Canada uses the GSM system – what about Thailand?

Nortel communications decided to sell one of its main division and also lay off employees. How is this going to affect Canada’s GDP?

I am runing a call center in pakistan im using softphones (eyebeam) want to use unlimited voip, I make thousands of calls to UK Canada or USA.

My Nokia E71 has voip hardware installed and I thought that any voip calls would be made through my cell phone’s wireless connection thereby not costing me minutes on my phones talk plan. Is there any way of getting around getting charged daytime minutes for VOIP calls?
Hi again…just spoke with my Wireless provider (Rogers in Canada) and they said that they do charge you your daytime cell minutes for VOIP calls. Man, even when it’s over a wifi connection, they’re able to sting you. Any different in the U.S.?

I was just wondering if USPS Express Mail International shows full tracking into Canada. I’ve sent packages using EMI before but tracking seems to stop at Canadian customs and doesn’t show delivery. However, when I call USPS, they said that EMI normally provides full tracking up until the point of delivery. Anybody else have any experience on this matter?
