How can I extend the service of my cell phone in my basement? Is there any way to make a ghetto antenna to put on my roof to get better service in the basement?

I need the cheapest cell phone possible. Both my home phone and cell phone aren’t working and I need something that doesn’t include a plan or long sign up process. I’ve heard that there’s cheap cell phones you can buy, or even use your own, then just buy minutes as you use them each month. Where can I find something like this and what is it exactly?

I have a USB Bluetooth adapter that I want to use to transfer files between my desktop, laptop, and cell phone. I lost the software disc that came with the adapter.

Are there any universal bluetooth interfaces that I can use?
It seems to be a generic adapter…there is no manufacturer name on the device.

What I want is basic service with an unlisted number. Peoplepc is my internet service provider (Yes, there are people out there that still have dial-up.) and 97% of my land line usage is just that. I send a couple of faxes a month, and it is nice to be able to call my cell phone when it is lost. That’s it. Who is the cheapest? I live in the San Francisco bay area. (Northern California)

I heard that there is a new app for the 2nd Generation of the iPod touch that it a phone. Does anyone know the name of the app and some info about it? [Like price, and how you get minutes.] Does it take them from your cell phone? or can you buy minutes with your iTunes acount???? HELP!

I want to get a cell phone, but I want something I can show off to my friends. I also want a girly phone that isn’t too expensive. I want the phone to look nice, so no phones with like floral patterns on it. I am looking for a phone that is twice as good as an LG Keybo or a Lg Shine. Preferably one that has a keypad for text messaging.

Well,I finally got my first cell phone. It runs Windows Mobile 5.Is there any mobile phone app can help transferring SMS for it?

I have a somewhat old Sony Vaio PCG-SR5K laptop and it has a pre-installed 56k modem in it. I’ve used it to get online in the past, but only on dial-up. Other than the fact that one is internal and the other operates through a pcmcia slot, is there a difference between the pre-installed modem I have and these PC Card Modems I keep hearing about? If so, what is the difference?

Also, which one of these modems could I use to get online with a cell phone and a data cable? Thanks to anyone who can help me.
Sorry. In regards to connecting with a cell phone, what I’m asking is can I use the modem that’s already in the laptop to connect to the internet with a cell phone? Or would I need to use another type?

I should probably also mention that I have a standard phone jack port on the laptop and not an ethernet port.

I am looking at upgrading the cell phone to a Blackberry. If I purchase the phone somewhere else besides my cell phone carrier store, how do I add the phone to the plan? I would like to stop using my old phone and use the new Blackberry instead and simply use the same phone number. How do I change phones?

I only have a cell phone but would like to have Internet service without using my cable company. I notice that some companies offer bundle packages, but it seems that you must have a land line. My current cell phone contract is about to expire, so I am currently looking at my different options.

I just got a new bluetooth headset to use with my playstation3 . I cant found out how to pair the headset. The user guide just tells how to pair it to a cell phone. The playstation 3 user guide does not have it also. thanks for your help.

how can i track blocked calls on cell phone?

I am receiving lots of blocked calls on my cell phone and I like to find out which phone they are calling me from.

I have a Verizon Wireless cell phone and so does my friend. I recall there being something like unlimited minutes between 2 Verizon phones. Does that work if they’re not on my network?

I need a new cell phone and I need one that is easier to text on than the Sony Ericsson I have. All I do is talk and text on my phone. I occassionally check email but its a pain on the cell I have and don’t have the patience to always work with it. I need a phone that makes it easy for me to do these things. Preferably a phone that flips open to a key pad.

Can any cell phone be used with Cingular/ATT or can I only buy phones from them?

I’m purchasing a new cell phone and I’m planning on transferring my old number to the new phone. However, a friend of mine is interested in buying the old phone from me and before I do any of this I’d like to know what will happen to the old phone’s number if I transfer it to my new phone. Will he have to transfer his number to that phone, or will it keep the number it already has regardless of me transferring it to the new phone?
