I got my daughter a phone in October. In the last 2 weeks Capitol One has been calling her at least twice a day. I’ve told them to stop several times, and that the person they were looking for was NOT at this number. I’ve been told it takes 72 hours to remove the number from their system. 2 weeks has been ample time. The people calling were rude to her the first time they called, and I’ve instructed her not to answer 1-800 # calls. What can I do at this point to get them to stop? They have no business contacting me at all.
I would like to pursue the highest form of legal action I can against this company. From what I’ve read on the web, they are ruthless to their customers and I have no tolerance for banks at this point. They are not allowed to do what they wish to people.
itsjustme: Did you read my question? If you did you must not be capable of comprehending the English language. You must live under a rock or something because kindergartener’s have cell phones these days. Guess what, she also does her homework on her own laptop, has a flatscreen in her bedroom equipped with a ps3 & wii!

I have Verizon and am confused on how blackberry’s work versus regular cell phones. If you turn off internet access on a blackberry, you cannot make phone calls or text messages. Why is this? Does their internet function on a different frequency? Can anyone explain how a blackberry works?

I have 2 cell phones, one I use for all business calls and the other is personal. I called my cell phone company to have my personal number changed. Instead of closing that number and giving me a new number my business number was deleted. And now are telling me that they cannot possibly give me my business number back. My business is my soul source of income and my clients contact me primaryly by phone or email. Can I sue this phone company, since they have completely taken away my source of income. Not to mention, I just took out a 00 telephone book ad with my business phone. Someone please give me advice on how to handle this.

I absolutely HATE it when the phone rings, it makes my blood boil! It disrupts my peaceful day when I have to scramble around in my purse to answer the annoying piece of crap just to stop that horrible ringing caucophany. There’s no use in putting it on vibrate either, the vibrating sound is just as bad. Cell phones and land phones annoy me equally. Can I just boycott the phone system and have everyone who needs to get in touch with me email me? Or would the emails start to grate on my fragile nerves as well? Am I in need of anger management classes? LOL

Okay, so I have a question. I know that when you call 911, the call is recorded and, of course, can be traced. Can you hear the conversation (by hacking or anything else by the police station) taking place between two regular cell phones? If so, when is it deleted? Do any phone carriers have this application? Can it be obtained and used as evidence for a courtroom case? Please answer ASAP, and details would be greatly appreciated.

My GF and I are looking at new phones and were debating if an all cordless phone system would work for us in a power outage.
Does there need to be power for the system to work? Our current handset works during a power outage, but its a normal hand set with a cord.
We always have our cell phones to use we know, but were wondering about an all cordless base unit and extra "extensions"

I was wondering if there is any way to make your home phone like a business phone where if you call it it gives you different numbers to press to connect to different people. Like press 1 for person number 1 press 2 for person 2 press 3 for person 3 and have it transfer to their cell phones.
