I looked at my bill for this month’s billing cycle and have a call made to Canada for a few hours that I never made. How do I prove to them it wasn’t me who made the call? Do phone companies record phone calls? If so, how long do they keep the records? This is a landline, keep in mind, not a cellphone.

My friend and I are starting a small business.
I am going to be handling all the phone calls and such each day and the phone I will be using is currently my personal cellphone.
Is it possible for me to write off my bill each month and count it as a tax deduction or is this even a viable option?
I would appreciate any help on this because this is an entirely new venture for me.
Thank you all.
He is engaged and plans on getting married next year, so we have limited financial support. We are just trying to find every available option we have to reduce our expenditures and not get into trouble with the IRS; our knowledge in that area is SEVERELY lacking.

I’m looking for a good (maybe flashy) cellphone but also affordable since I just accidentally dropped it in the sink. So far the new Telecom XT cellphones seem cheaper and I have a Vodafone sim card. Will my Vodafone sim work in any of the Telecom XT cellphones?

I currently have VOIP service but I’m droping my cable internet at my shop for a mobile air card. I’m not at my shop much and I could use my internet service on the road more than in the shop. The downside is that my VOIP service provides my voice and fax line. Without the internet the VOIP won’t work. I plan on switching to a internet fax-to-e-mail service but I don’t see the need in paying .99 for the VOIP service just to have my calls forwarded to my cell phone. Is there any way to pay a company to instantly forward my calls to my cellphone for around since I won’t be using them for long distance or any outgoing calls? The local phone company isnt very friendly with business numbers. I could get a basic residential line and have it forwarded for .99 but the business number that I have has a minimum charge of .99 w/ Bellsouth.

I only need one toll free number to run over DSL for my start up. That also supports call forwarding.
By toll free I mean an 800 number so people can call in and then I would sometimes need the call forwarded to my cellphone. Thank you.

One of my friends recently purchased an unlocked cellphone that was released on the T mobile system to use on the att system. When the phone was recieved, it had no charger input or sim card reader. Does a person take this out due to the unlocking or should it still be there? Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I travel and want real-time access to email, but wonder if there are other options other that Blackberry? I want to have my yahoo.bizmail pushed to my cellphone — is this even techically possible yet?

I have three different voicemail systems that I need to check daily. Two of them, both business lines, I can do nothing about. But my home phone’s voicemail is fair game.
I hate checking my voicemail so much that I took action – I recorded a long greeting where I read the first paragraph of "The Old Man and the Sea" and then say "If your message is urgent enough to have listened to me read the first paragraph of The Old Man and the Sea, then please leave it. Otherwise I will return all calls I see on the caller id".
Who else hates voicemail? What steps do you take to stop people from leaving you unnecessary voicemail messages?
I have a cellphone which is a business line that my employer provides to me and requires me to have. There is no "dump the phone" option here.
Also, as stated in my question, two of the lines are business lines. There is no "forward the home phone lines to one of the other lines" option here.
Nice try, though.

I need a cellphone that records conversations on the fly. I currently have the Motorola Krzr. When someone calls I just press the button on the side of the phone and it quickly records the conversations. I need this option because im often on the road and when my clients call I can’t write down their name or number so I just record it. What are some other phones that let you do this quickly with just one button except the Krzr and Razr?
And dont mention the iphone. It can’t do that.

I would like to put a phone number on my website (for business use) without giving out my REAL number. Simply, I would like to set up a number that will relay or forward to my cellphone without risking my privacy. How and where can I do this? Is there any way to do this for free?
