Best Buy Reward Zone said I was about 450 points shy of Silver Status (2500 pt total). I decided to achieve the status by making more purchases. I spent the money to get the points, knowing it takes 35 days for the points to post after the purchase(s) so they would post before new year. Now the points are still pending after 2 months when they say it takes approx 35 business days. It is Jan 1, 2010 and my point balance is 0pts (wiped because of new fiscal year, but if they would have given me silver status these points would have carried over) and I have no Silver Status!!! I’ve been on and off the phone with them and about a month ago they assured me I made Silver Status and that I’d get something in the mail in two weeks, but now that it is a month later I have not recieved anythng and they deny having said that although I have case #’s for these conversations with them. Furthermore they are telling me Silver Status is removed after one year if you do not make 00 in purchases, but no where on their site does it say you must spend EVERY year to maintain that status, or that you will lose it if you do not. I even spoke to a supervisor who could not show me where on the website it says this.
Basically I was told I was ‘x’ amount shy of this status which had me go out and spend, then because of some glitch in their system (that’s what they called it) my points are not posting or lost! Their misleading me had me spend more money than I would have to attain something they are not giving me because they don’t know how to maintain their records or computer systems!
Given the problems at hand and the grief I’ve been through; does it seem just to pursue legal justice in this matter?

In the electronic marketplace of today, there’s so much to be known, and so little time to learn it. That’s why many organizations are turning to computer systems that can not only produce information as outputs but also work to combine those outputs in ways that add value—knowledge—for the people using those systems.

Lotus Development Corp. calls it "knowledge management." Knowledge management helps a company gain insight from its own experience. Through knowledge management, a company can focus on storing and accessing knowledge for such things as problem solving, dynamic learning, strategic planning and decision making.

Refer to your web resources to visit the Lotus Website. Locate a recent news article about a company using Lotus Notes or other knowledge management software, such as Domino. Briefly summarize the article, considering the following questions:

What are they using the software to do?
How would the activities or decisions of the users differ if they didn’t use the knowledge management software?
How does data differ from information?

independent contractor for Comcast (isp) showed id & paperwork & stated he needed to see our equipment & make sure it was installed correctly & install a new HD chip. We let him into equipment room & he removed our modem & shut down all our computer systems. He explained he was removing our equipment because we had not paid. I said impossible we had a new acct (we moved 3 weeks ago) & had a credit balance on old acct. I asked him to let me get Comcast on phone to clarify & he refused handed me a piece of paper that said collections receipt & left. After numerous calls 4.5 hours later they came & re-installed a new modem, reset computers& apologized. contractor was supposed to have picked up our old equipment & we did not owe anything–we lost business. How should we resolve. They are offering month’s free service. contractor made accusation in front of clients & lied–if comcast had called or he had told truth we could have given old equipment & avoided all the aggravation.
Shut down work of 7 staff–lost 2 clients (one 00 commission 2nd 0 commission). Their service costs are irrelevant but is 0 a month
The service I have with comcast is a business service. I do not have residential service!!!!! The service agreement for business is totally different. If they can’t be depended on then they should not sell it. Purchasing another back up system would defeat the purpose since the cost would be the same. Do you have two phone companies providing phone service?
