I was thinking about signing up for Vonage or Sage’s phone service and using AT&T’s internet service but I’m wondering if there might be a any difference to the internet performance if I use AT&T’s internet and also AT&T’s phone service instead of using a phone service with a different company.

hi, i am planning on making a home business and ive gone through every little detail, but i seem to have ran onto a wall. i need a software that i may use with my own personal website that will calculate shipping costs automatically from items purchased by my customers. i need a good program, reason being is because if i do my own calculations and get it wrong and end up charging to little for shipping&processing i myself will lose profit and i dont even wanna think about over charging the costumers…i wanna make it fair for both me and my customers which is the reason why i need a good software. all opinions will be greatly appreciated ^_^
the shipping its not done by me but a different company…i have no control over who will ship. ups, fed ex nothing.. thats why i need a program or software that will calculate how much my costumer will pay for shipping.. you know how some sites when you make purchases and you then checkout and it shows you the total payment including shipping before you actually do the purchase? thats what i need

I have the verizon phone company and im about to get my first phone, except i dont like the phones verizon has to offer. So i want to get an unlocked phone from a different company such as at&t or sprint on ebay or something, but then my brother tells me that not all phone companies will work for verizon due to sim cards or something. so which phone companies can i get them from?

I have a major problem this the e-mail that I sent to BBB :

"I have a HP laptop Pavilion dv7 that I purchased from Wal-Mart brand new in 2008. A couple months after the manufactures warranty expired I accidentally dropped my laptop at school but it did not break anything but the faceplate over the charger port; however, the laptop was still use able but it did not charge. I took my laptop to my local computer store in Roxboro,NC. They informed me that we did not work with the power port and that I would have to go to different company that does good work with charger ports. Due to my schedule I just went to the closets computer shops on the list, so with that I went to Danville,VA to ‘Computer Clinics’ located on 932 Arnett Boulevard Danville, VA 24540-2233 (P-(434) 791-2111). Once I got there I told the receptionist what happened and I was told that I would receive a phone call once the technician looks at my laptop. A couple of days went by and I received a phone call while at work from Computer Clinics stating that I would be charged 0.00 fee + .00 for parts. So I agreed to it and I was told that I would receive a phone call once my laptop was ready for pick-up only to my disbelief I get a call saying that my motherboard was broken and that there was no charge for the services, it would be fairly expensive to repair the motherboard in which it would be cheaper to purchase another laptop. So I wanted to check my laptop out myself but my schedule didn’t work around the business hours of Computer Clinics so I asked a friend to pick it up for me. When he got to Computer Clinics a technician told him that my password that I gave them did NOT work. So once I had my laptop in my possession I noticed that the charger port was now fixed but the laptop itself would not power on. So the following Saturday I return with several witness before I contact the BBB with a case and have a little talk with the technicians. They could not find the written ticket that was written up but found some information on their computer systems, I talked with the technician named John who told me that he would look at my laptop the following Monday morning. Before closing time on Monday I called back to Computer Clinics to see what was resolved and I was told by another technician that my laptop motherboard was broken where the charger port was at and it could not be turned on. And quoted me a price of a new motherboard for my laptop.

I’m highly upset with this company and the only thing I want done is my laptop fixed. Before I brought my laptop to Computer Clinics I used my laptop at school charging my battery with my sister’s computer since we have the same computer just different styling. I have all my voice mails from the computer clinics receptionist and my call logs from my cell phone and my slip from Computer Solutions in Roxboro, NC referring to different computer businesses that could fix the charger port since most companies would not touch a charger port."

I know I’m not a computer tech but I know there story doesn’t add up and that laptop was the top of the line HP Laptop at the time and I had no intentions of getting a new one or having it in use. I would like to know some information about how to get my laptop fixed by the company that royally screwed me over – pardon my language and it basically trying to weasel their way out of not fixing it- unless I pay. Please I need someone(s) help to what my next step I should take. Also note that this takes place within two different states: NC, VA.

hello, i am going to be a freshmen @ the university of illinois in urbana-champagne this year and i was wondering what kind of phone i should get: the treoo 800w? or the samsung instinct?

first off, ive been a treo 700palm user for 2 years and i have been pretty content with this phone. i truly loved the text messaging system! the web browsing was pretty legit, at the time, as well. although, i only used palm based phones, is windows as good, or better?

now, i want to upgrade phones. i want a phone that has very fast internet browsing, awesome text messaging chats, and a pretty organized phone. $$$ is not an issue for me, also.

althought im not a business man, i want a phone that is fairly well organized and "does the job" for just a regular college dude.

also, which phone has a better text messaging system that also has chat logs???

THIS IS IMPORTANT: since ill be @ U of I next year, will it be better for me to buy the treo 800w (w/EV-DO Rev. A and WI-FI connection)? or should i get the samsung instinct (w/just the EV-DO Rev. A)? is wi-fi really necessary? Is it suppose to be faster than Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. A connection??? ’cause i have no clue if urbana/champaign, IL have good sprint connection. ill be using the internet like crazy.

also, which phone is more entertaining?

oh yah, i dont really care about the size, weight, and thickness of the phone.

to conclude, should i stick with the treos and just upgrade to the 800w? or should i start exploring different company-based phones and buy the samsung instinct?

I’ve been trying to do my homework, and unfortunately the cell phones that look really cool with the best features are not usable where I live. verizon seems to have the coolest, with T-mobile next. I can get an iphone here, but the others seem better. Unfortunately, no coverage here for either company. Why can’t you just pick a phone you like and it work with a different company?

The business I used to work for went out of business, The location is now owned by a different company and there is no number for them to be reached at. ADP sent my W-2 forms to that address anyway and the store there now says that they have not received anything for my old company. So when I call the IRS on the 15th, how do they expect to get in touch with my old employer if there is no address or phone number that they can be contacted at?
