Hi Yahoo, I recently had an interview with a bakery and the manager said they would get back to me within a few days. However it has been 5 days and I haven’t received a call. Should I wait two more days where it will have been a week since the interview or should I call them back?

I need to log which sites I visit for a few days and I need to know how long I spend on the sites and what times of the day I visit them. I am using Firefox 3.0.7. I have seen the history application in Firefox, however it does not provide times of all the visits and it does not provide a duration.

A few days my cell phone was taken by my brother and he used it to text his friends.
Is there any way to put a password system on my phone or something like that?

I’m from kuwait, I bought a voip card from a store here. I returned it but they ignore it, they said the reseller didnt accept it, it’s not their fault why it’s expired. I just opened the card for few days and haven’t used it even a single second. I’ve emailed the cards company, but no reply. several times it happend to me.

a few days ago, someone on one of my Yahoo! groups innocently posted a “helpful” suggestion to use a service called Grouply to manage emails and digests from multiple Yahoo! groups… after doing a bit of poking around, I’m forced to conclude that Grouply is nothing more than yet another phishing scam, b/c the only thing they DON’T appear to go after (at least not that I know of) is credit card and/or bank account info while Grouply may not be phishing, they DO collect usernames and passwords (btw, giving this info to a third party probably violates the Yahoo! Groups TOS — see para 5), which not only puts your own info at risk, but it exposes the info of everyone in your groups as well… also, there’s currently no easy way to unsub from Grouply: someone who’s signed up has to call or email Grouply, and they’ll unsub you (you hope!), but in all likelihood they still retain any info/data that they’ve managed to collect about you AND the members of your groups… phishing scams like this don’t get caught in anti-virus and anti-spam software; ANY time someone asks you for access to your usernames and passwords, run far, and run fast!! think very VERY hard about what that person/entity COULD do w/your info if they decide to abuse it, and whether or not you’d want to be held responsible for anything they might do under your account info… I’m personally not willing to take that kind of risk…>

Can someone please help me format my hard drive?
I used some free software called "Cleanse Uninstaller" a few days ago in an effort to fully clean off a piece of stubborn software from my computer; long story short, it has changed every thing in the registry and nothing (very few programs, etc) point to where they should now. That includes the System Restore program. I have saved everything that I need and am trying to wipe my hard disk and load Windows again. I wondered if I could do a reinstall of Windows XP, but My machine will not recognise the disk when i put it in my CDRom, I cannot do anything with the Windows Management tool (unresponsive). I tried to add another drive so that I could wipe it using the Windows on the new drive but when I traced the error messages I realised that the new drive had Windows on it too. Can anyone help please?

Joe Z, I can’t get the new drive to work on my computer, I think it is because it already has Windows loaded. The virus scanner on the machine will not work and any that I can download will not open.

I apologize for the length of this but i hope you take the time to read and give a genuine opinion. I am really at a loss here and not sure what to do. i believe my future depends on this. i really need this job, its perfect….but i am just…not…sure….i will try to make this short and easy to read:

I spoke with a lady recently from yahoo chat. I was in a room and we were all talking about working from home and i mentioned in the room that i was looking to work from home.

She sends me a message and asks me to view a link. The link was of a printer, a printer that is capable of printing checks.

She asks me if i want to be her employee and, after a while of talking she tells me that i will be printing payroll checks for customers and sending them off via UPS next day air.

She said she has ordered the printer for me and it is already on its way to my house. She showed me (in text) a copy of the UPS shipping report. Anyhow, the next thing she asked me to do and keeps asking me to do is get 100 – 200 UPS next day air shipping labels and the envelopes that go with it.

She told me i could go to a UPS store and get about 10 – 20 of them and then go to another store and so on…..well, i went to the only local store within 30 miles and she only had 5…she kind of looked at me like i was crazy and was asking questions….

The ups lady asked me "whats the company name?" Thats when i realized something is up. after a few days of talking to the lady from the chatroom, she never told me the company name.

ups lady asked me if i had a UPS account, and repeated that i MUST have a UPS account in order to get that many supplies in that amount.

i basically told her the story here and she called her supervisor. he came down and told me he would have a sales rep call me.

welll, the sales rep called me and basically said that i have to have an account (UPS accounts require a credit card, and i do not have one.)

I told the lady from the chatroom about this and she said "I have always gotten them free, i have never needed to give a company name or UPS account number"

she basically danced around the questions:

"what is the company name?"
"what is YOUR UPS account number?"
"Won’t i need the company name//UPS account information anyways to ship out these checks??"
"What about the w-4?"
"how can i file my taxes next year if i dont have all this information?"

in the end she told me the company name was named after her since she started the business.
she said the w4 would have to wait until she expanded bigger
she gave me an invalid UPS account number registered to someone in amarillo.

I have not brought the last part up to her yet because she just keeps telling me to go to the UPS offices and get these ASD’s and envelopes, i kept telling her they wont let me do it without an account number.

i am just going to wait and see if the printer actually arrives before i start doing anything major.

as far as she told me, i would be paid once a month 00 after taxes
She has not sent any software for me to view and she has not said anything about any type of training….i figured we could use this time to train me on the materials……

I wanted to speak with her or call her and she said she was in paris for a conference meeting…. i told her that yahoo has a calling feature and she said her computer does not support audio and she does not have a webcam.
she said she is from Fresno California.

please e-mail me with any questions you might have or know of someone that also does this for a living or if you know for sure its a scam.

I have NOT spent any money and told her i had none to spend and will not spend she told me it was fine that i would never have to spend any money. For the one that said he/she does this for a living, thank you for that that gave me a little confidence but i am still weary and will be careful.. please send my link to your friends and have them give their opinion please! oh i almost forgot! she said i have to have the UPS slips because she is going to tell me how to fill them out. i told her i was able to get one and asked her well how do i fill it out? she danced around that too and just kept telling me to get the supplies. >.< very frustrating. she is not being very clear, being vague with pretty much everything…..and about how i was supposed to file my taxes without company name and how she can claim taxes without my info……her exact words (copy-paste from the convo>) "well think think think …you should be able to figure these things out on your own without my help…"

❤ 7:00am my father starts getting calls from both our friend’s Personal Cellular Number AND his Landline Business Number.

❤ My father’s cell phone was in the other room so he didn’t get it until these two numbers called 4 times in a row, one after another.

❤ When my father picks up the phone, thinking it is an emergency, there is a recorded message from an Adult Video Store saying something like “If you order from us, we are discrete”.

❤ My father has never purchased porn from a mail order, internet order, phone order, etc. He has no porn videos, DVD’s, or VHS and the magazines he has he purchases from a Physical Store and pays cash… And he doesn’t have that much in the way of mags…

(Creepy, I know, but I had to make 100% sure this wasn’t fraud because he used his credit card online etc. so I asked and he was honest.)

How is it possible for both our friend’s landline (AT&T) and his Personal Cellular Phone (Verizon) to start calling people out of his phonebook?

They hadn’t spoken in a few days so it didn’t just “Recall” my father’s number… No one else really knows that these two guys are friends/business associates so it couldn’t be a prank… No one cares that they know each other.

Was he hacked?

What is stumping us is that it was both his landline AND his cellular.

I told him to change ALLL his passwords… Even those unrelated to his phones… and to disable Bluetooth on his phone(s).

Any ideas?

I received a call a few days ago from an international number and I have no idea who it was from, or how to look up the number. Is there some type of a UK Smartpages or a similar site that you can use to do a reverse phone look up? All I know is +44 is somewhere in the UK. Please help!

I lost my phone a few days ago. Both the holster and phone are gone. Do service providers have a service that finders can get phones back to the owner? Who makes a good holster that can keep the phone with the holster and the holster on you?

I’ve been searching for a few days now for a cordless phone system that meets the follow specifications, if you know of one, please post a link and review:

- Must have 2 incoming lines (2 different telephone numbers).
- Must have at least 3 handsets (preferably more, but 3 will do).

I have looked everywhere and the closest thing that I have came to is well over 0 for the system and it’s a bit ridiculous. I am trying to keep a decent budget on here. Any help is much appreciated.

I was playing a few days ago and all of a sudden i tried to get on later and it said that my xbox live account was banned. So i called the support line and ended up callin them 4 or 5 times and every time they told me i had to get a new 360 and that was the only way to play again. 2 of the times i called they looked up my profile and said it was due to downloading software onto my xbox that would "maximize my game play" meaning i modded it. I dont even know how to download that kind of stuff and ive never downloaded a single thing onto my console. its so dumb i literally have never tried to download somethin onto my xbox 360 and yet i still got banned and microsoft tells me they cant do anything about it. i just have to buy a new 360? No thats stupid. I think they made some stupid mistake or are just doing it so i will have to buy another one cus the economy is bad and nobody is buying their stuff. Im also hearin a lot of other reports on the internet about this happenin to people.

I am a real estate agent in Southern NJ. I spent a lot of time deciding on a Broker to join. I decided to go with a small real estate company for the "one on one" touch. I signed up two weeks ago and it is off to a bad start. I have yet to have my extension on the company phone system, my info is not on the website with the other agents and they recently printed out new brochures a few days ago and I am not on it. There are even people who joined after me on it. Whenever I ask about it, they say "Oh, I will get right on that". But, it is never done. One of the brokers (there are two) actually seemed agitated when I ask her to show me how to use the Trend system. At this point, I am only signed up for Trend. I have yet to get info from Realtor, E&O or anything, even though I gave them all the checks for it when I signed up. I have business cards that they printed out for me on day one with my picture, but that’s it. I want to get started but I don’t feel like I am an agent.

I have a Siemens C45 cell phone that I’ve been trying to unlock for the last few days. I have this determination that I will like to do it myself, as a way of learning and improving oneself. I have read a book on "GSM Engineering", but which still did not solve the problem. Can anyone suggest the possibility of website that I might visit in order resolve this? Thanks
