In what order did these features begin becoming available with gps systems? radio, dvd player, voice activation, detachable, usable as a phone, talking gps. I just cant find out anywhere and need it for a project i’m doing. Thanks in advance

It’s the same technology that GPS systems and phone systems have where you say something and recognizes voice. I need it to type the text I said. I’ve searched for a speech to text device but am having no luck. It needs to be portable so I can bring around anywhere. Something about PSP/GAMEBOY sized. I know there has to be something out there. This is for use with deaf people.

Please include pros and cons for the car GPS system too. What are some problems you have encountered with your I-Phone’s GPS or car GPS? Please give me details so I can make obeservations about the two GPS systems and further my research.

Just curious how well the GPS systems work on Cell phones, and on the new iPhone as i was very close in getting the iPhone because of the GPS, but ended up buying a Garmin Nuvi instead.

But may get the iPhone down the road, and sell the Garmin – which works awesome and i love it. But if i can get the same via iPhone (plus the other bells and whistles) or Cell phone then i might do that instead.
