I am looking for a smart phone (Mobile)?

I am from India and right now looking to buy a smartphone (mobile) which has all the latest options.

N8: which runs on Symbian platform (Nokia has recently partnered with Microsoft for its operating system and would be producing mobile on that platform effective from 2012)

Sony Xperia X10: I liked the phone but it does not have secondary camera as a result of that it does not support 3G

Samsung Galaxy S2: New handset which has all the features…

I am not looking for blackberry it is a pure business phone

Please suggest which one i should consider and why. Also suggested any other model number i can look for.

My 841 phone will not connect to the landline, either dialing manually or through the contacts folder. The phone rings when receiving a landline call, but after answering the phone nothing happens. Another phone on the same line keeps ringing, but the 841 shows up as answering the call. The battery is fully charged and the handset is connected to the base unit. The Philips manual doesn’t have any info on this problem. Is there anyone out there using this phone and has seen this problem?
Yes, it’s the same type of phone, but a later model.

How do you record a phone call on a house phone?

My boyfriend and I are going through some things and my mom said I need to be careful of who and what I say because he may be recording my phone calls. She said its easy to do and she did it a long time ago. She wouldn’t tell me how bc she said I didn’t need to know. She said it involved dialing some numbers on the handset. Does anyone know how to do this?

I know there are a lot of kits that can turn any electrical outlet into a phone extension, but this is different. I have a phone jack on one wall, and a regular business phone in the middle of a table of a large room. I don’t want to run a cord all the way from the wall to the phone. I’d rather plug a device into the wall jack, and plug the phone into a little box that can talk to the box I plugged into the jack. Kind of a wireless "bridge" using Bluetooth or something. Does this exist?
I know there are a lot of kits that can turn any electrical outlet into a phone extension, but this is different. I have a phone jack on one wall, and a rather complex business phone in the middle of a table of a large room that is not sold as a wireless model. (I can’t just buy a regular wireless phone, because I need all the complex functions on this business phone and handset . . .)

Both phone systems are made be GE, but they are two different models. I have VOIP so I can only connect one base to the "computer", (I’d rather not have two bases in one room), so is there anyway that I can connect one type of handset to a different type of base.

Is there any way to reconfigure how the phones are connected?

If I answer the phone and if for someone else in the family I would like to have them just pick up a phone. My handset are always getting moved around and trying to figure which handset is where is difficult I had a VTech but bought a SBC because of the look and DECT. The sound and ease of use is the worse I’ve ever had. Before buying another phone I want to know I don’t end up with having to transfer calls.

What is a a good phone recorder?

I need a recorder that can record phone conversations. Because I have a picky phone system at work, I need to have the kind that goes between the phone base and the handset (or headset). Anybody have any good recommendations?

To reiterate: if it plugs into the wall to the phone, it will NOT work.
Thanks for the info. I work for a corporation, so I have NO control over how the phone system is programmed and the type of phones that can be used in our office.

can be used at the same time. For example, someone calls me, I pick up one handset, and another person in my house can pick up another handset so we both can talk to the caller at the same time.

Is there such a system available with an answering machine feature? Please provide brands and model numbers if possible.

I presently have a Vtech 5877 and that feature is unavailable.

Cordless phone system for business?

A friend is looking for a cordless phone system for a business, that can take at least 6 incoming lines, has 7-10 handsets (not including the handset connected to the line.), can support extensions, allow call forwarding among handsets, and each extension having their own answering ‘mailbox.’ Is there any like that, or is it just wishful thinking?

When you dial the three digits you hear a message from the displayed chat\racter on the scroll paper. The phones have a small handset, and take either 1 or 2 size "C" batteries I think.

There’s a **great** deal in newspaper. I’d like to use the 4 handset system as a cordless intercom system. (phone base not connected to phone line). Is this possible? If not, why not?

how to transfer call to another handset siemens sl65?

I have two siemens gigaset handsets (SL65). How do I transfer a call to the other handset without losing my connection to the caller?
I want to transfer the call to my other gigaset handset

Motorola has been in talks of leaving the market due to poor sales. The handset maker slipped to No.3 this year from it’s No.2 spot taken by Samsung. Motorola can’t seem to find another RAZR-like hit.

The microphone in the handset is enough for my purpose. What is important is the quality of the speaker.
The speaker must be loud enough for the 50 persons in the room.

Range (feet) for Dual handset phone systems?

I have to replace phones in my house and I am looking at cordless one with a dual handset. The base would be on the 1st floor of the house, the additional base on the 3rd floor. I can’t find any specs to tell me what the optimal range (distance) is between the base and additional handset. Does anyone have any experience with this??? I am partial to GE over Vtec or Panasonic and looking at a 5.8 GH
