Sprint has the RUMOR phone with the full keyboard and all already. Does anyone know if they are going to make one soon that will be similar, but work with the Nextel system and have Direct Connect?

I am a current BB Storm owner and am really upset with what I’ve experienced with it so far. I’m a small business owner and really can push a phone to it’s limits as far as usage between phone, email, and text. This is my 3rd blackberry, coming from an old 7700, to a pearl, now to the Storm. I honestly think the Storm is lacking refinement, my pearl kept up with me better. Here’s my complaints so far:

-Applications are very larger and use up a lot of the phone’s operating memory, causing it to react very slowly to almost anything you need it to do in crunch time.
-Camera may be larger mega-pixel then previous 8300 series but it definitely takes worse pictures.
-Keyboard is hard to work with, even after 5 months its easy to make typos and the system usually won’t correct it even if you’re close.
-There is no longer a delete key on the keyboard, just backspace, you won’t believe how important that key is until you need it, and after you make a typo, which you will on this phone, it will frustrate you with how difficult it is to correct.
-As far as applications, its doesn’t offer anywhere near as many applications as the iphone, and what it is offered is expensive.
-BATTERY LIFE!!!! By far the biggest complaint is its battery life, I’ve done all the tricks, closing un-used apps, mid-day battery pull (which is a rediclous fix) and texting more instead of calling to save bettery life, yet I can’t seem to get passed 5:30pm everyday (work day starts at 6 am). My old pearl use to last 2-3 days!

Otherwise, the interface is typical Blackberry, which is great in my opinion, this interface has always been efficient in running my business, but the phone itself doesn’t.

So the big question is: Will the I-phone solve all my above concerns?

Thanks!

Okay, so I’m a "technology dude" at this company. We run a gourmet train up and down the valley. In order to ride the train, people need to call into the reservations department.

Recently, we switched our phone system to Avaya IP Office, and now my managers want reports from CCC Reporting listing all of the lost calls in a day. I purchased Crystal Reports V.9 to create custom reports for their needs, but I’ve run into a problem… I cannot successfully find/create a function or equation to display all the callers who had called the reservations department and abandoned the call after 30 seconds had passed. Also, I cannot get the report to just show "lost" calls. So, before I bang my head against the keyboard due to exhaustion from this crazy task, here is what I need:

1) A formula showing the exact time a caller waited before hanging up.
2) A formula that only lists "Lost Calls" on the report, rather than all of them.

Please can anybody help?!

What are good cell phones with a keyboard?

first you had those clunky phones, then candy bar style phones, then cool flip phones, and now awesome sliders (with keyboard) and touch phones, both of which have internet.

what kind of phones do you think will come next in the coming years?

I am buying a new phone which will be used mainly for business. I was looking at the Samsung SCH-u740 since it has a keyboard. The i-phone is too pricey and I’m stuck already in a 2 year contract with another phone company. I definitely want a phone with a keyboard since I will need to send documents with changes made to them. What is a phone that would allow me to download Adobe Acrobat in it? And it absolutely has to have Windows capability for my documents. Also, I noticed some cell phones have "Mobile Web 2.0" and others have Windows Mobile 5.0 OS — what is the difference between these 2?

AT&T Quickfire vs. Apple iPhone?

Our 2 year AT&T phone contract has just expired and I want to upgrade my phone. After my previous phone died (of old age) I got a very cheap Go Phone and ended up putting my SIM card in it to get me by until our contract expired. After being stuck with a "crappy" phone for so long I want something nice and high quality.

I’ve been watching a reading reviews and Quickfire gets a thumbs up on the quality of calls and the keyboard, but the touch screen isn’t very responsive.

The iPhone gets a thumbs up in every category as far as I can tell, it seems to be a favorite and the best out there. It can be used as a phone, an iPod, a way to watch movies, internet, email, and a way to play games (applications). The one downfall I see is the extra you pay a month.

I’m only 17 years old and would be paying for the the phone and the extra a month (if I go with the iPhone) and I’m just wondering if it’s worth it for a teenager to have such a high-tech-business-man-type of phone? On top of the phone I’d pay 0 a year. I know I’d use it as an iPod and would use the applications. When we travel in the car I know I’d love to have my own personal entertainment system and would use the internet frequently. I have email and I check it regularly, but I don’t need to be checking it constantly, so this phone is not a necessity to me. It’d be a luxury item (that I personally would be paying for) that I think I would really love and use constantly.

My question is do you think the iPhone wouth be worth 0 a year? Or should I just go for the Quickfire? If anyone has been in my situation what have you done? My parents think I will regret not having that extra money, but all my friends say it would be "the coolest thing ever" and I should go for it. I personally really want it, but if anyone has this phone, is it worth it? Any advice is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kalie
:)
Oh wow…I’ve never heard of the HTC Fuze. Does the extra a month apply to it as well? Information and oppinions of the Fuze are also much appreciated. :)
As far as I can tell the HTC Fuze is even more of a "high-tech-business-man-type of phone" and would be way too excessive for someone my age. But any additional information and opinions on it would be much appreciated. :)

My step dad installed keyboard tracking software on my mothers computer and now has all her personal passwords etc. And he’s spying on everything she does on the cpu. He hacked into her personal bank account and he has done this before and it needs to stop. Please, im desperately needing help from anyone who knows how to find and get rid of this software.

I just started a new career and what they suggested I do is, since a lot of communication is done by email, text, etc, in the work world, I need a great cell phone that has internet and a full keyboard, has quick internet access, and some awesome upgrades from my current phone. Changing carriers is not a problem, so all suggestions is appreciated! Thanks!

I don’t want to pay for online and things but i just want to txt and call with a keyboard. Right now i have a sidekick without a data plan and it messes up. What phones can i get? I will buy off ebay or the store.

What phones are there from verizon with a touch screen and a full keyboard?
Are there any others besides LG enV touch?

I am in a Nigerian university, and they (we don’t know who, because there was no information preceding this- NONE) just installed some sort of terminal in my department, which we have been seeing across campus.

It has a keyboard, a screen and a phone handset.
Presumably we can use it to make phone calls, or browse the Internet, and we are informed that we can buy special cards, or use our ATM cards to access its services. This raised an alarm with me.

First of all, this contraption seems connected to the regular Internet we use in school, that serves the whole campus. I remember this movie (the one with Travolta, Jackson, and Berry), where they showed that it was a really big deal to get into a bank via the Internet- that if you wanted to do stuff with accounts, you had to get into a bank that was connected specially. Or does that only apply to mega-accounts?

I also remember a story in a business magazine, about some enterprising crooks in America, who industiously made their own ATM machines, looking and weighing just like the real thing- only these don’t dispense cash- they plead "out of order," while they ave recorded your ATM card details, which will then be used to rob your account.

Can this new gadget be on the level, or is it a new fraud being snuck in? It will take a while before we can check with our administration. In the meantime, I am warning everyone to be careful about what they put into them- namely their ATM card and Internet account details.

This thing booted with what looked like the regular XP Operating system, and I saw the usual icons when they were installing it.
Dear DUNBAR PAPPY, thank you for your advice. Now I am really alarmed.
I am attempting to upload a picture of what this unit looks like.

Here is what the machine looks like.
Is this what is in use in America, Europe, or Asia? Is this what it is used for in other countries?

We could be looking at an enormous disaster, if people are being tricked into entering their ATM card details, and Internet Mail passwords into a terminal that can be used to steal them!

Calling customer service…?

Tech Support: "I need you to right-click on the Open Desktop."
Customer: "Ok."

Tech Support: "Did you get a pop-up menu?"

Customer: "No."

Tech Support: "Ok. Right click again. Do you see a pop-up menu?"

Customer: "No."

Tech Support: "Ok, sir. Can you tell me what you have done up until this point?"

Customer: "Sure, you told me to write ‘click’ and I wrote ‘click’."

(At this point I had to put the caller on hold to tell the rest of the tech support staff what had happened. I couldn’t, however, stop from giggling when I got back to the call.)

Tech Support: "Ok, did you type ‘click’ with the keyboard?"

Customer: "I’ve done something dumb, right?"

Customer: "I received the software update you sent, but I am still getting the same error message."

Tech Support: "Tell me what you’ve done."

Customer: "I typed ‘A:SETUP’."

Tech Support: "Ma’am, remove the disk and tell me what it says."

Tech Support: "Insert the MS Word setup disk."

Tech Support: "Did you buy MS word?"

Customer "No…"

Tech Support: "What exactly is the problem?"
