I need to find some details from a cell phone number! Do reverse phone lookup searches provide details for cell phone and landline phone numbers, or is it just landline numbers?

We’re moving into our first home, and would just as soon not get a landline phone since we’re currently just using our cells.

I recently switched from traditional landline phone to Vonage cable internet phone. However, my home security system can not communicate with the monitoring station as a result of disconnecting the phone line. How could I rewire my home phone wires to make my home security system work with the internet phone?

I have a small business in a somewhat rural location. CenturyLink has been providing landline service and DSL service to me, but I am switching to an all digital system. The problem is, CenturyLink won’t just let me keep my original phone number and forward it to my new digital line number. Does anyone know if there is a way I can gain control of my original landline phone number and forward it my new number, or if there is any way what I want to do is possible?

I just got a 2 yr contract w/ Cingular(At&t) and have a new phone in my name. Problem is when I call a landline phone it has someone else name. I calld cingular and they said their systems are updated and show my name.They said to just erase all the memory off my called id.To me that doesnt make sense plus my phones have built in caller id.How would i get this fixed?

I am going to call my lawyer later. He wants to give me some advise. Since I have a bad memory and can’t possibly write all his suggestions down fast enough, I’d like to record the call for my own use only, if it is possible and legal. If it is possible would I need to ask my lawyer for permission to record the call?

bluetooth is short range so i have my doubts; what i want is a landline phone system that i can use to make long calls with a wireless headset which is as cool as the mobile bluetooth headset. thanks!

People usually use a landline phone to dial AOL or other dial-up ISPs. I was wondering if you could just as easily use a VOIP phone connected through a high-speed connection to dial AOL numbers and establish a dial-up connection, if it would work?

And yeah, before you tell me why do you need dial-up if you have broadband, read the question again, that’s not what I asked.

Every work at home job that I have applied for says that you have to have a landline phone instead of a voip phone because they will not support a voip phone. Is that true?

does anyone know how to block a specific number from being able to call you on the comcast landline phone system? and if you can ~ does the person you blocked know that they have been blocked from calling you?

I am not aware of the way some area phonebooks are handling this but I am aware that yellow pages are taking your cell numbers as listings. I am also wondering about fax machines and how you are handling your system on this. I have both plans but the cost is getting out of control and I am thinking of going to a plan for my cell with the business # since I have it on me all the time anyway. What’s your feelings on this ? I would love to hear your answers whether it’s home or business related.
