I want to get a cell phone with service from AT&T that I pay for myself. I have the money and a savings account in FL with Bank of America. I just need a way to pay bills electronically. Is there a way to do this that doesn’t require me to be 18? How?
We are starting a sales/customer service office that will have appx 10 people on the telephone all day. Im sure we will get a phone system but right now with our budget it would really be nice if we could start without one and use the money elsewhere.
I have looked at lots of used systems and they can be pretty confusing. What specs should we look for in what we need? amount of lines etc. We would need the following options for sure
1. All 10 people to take inbound and make outbound calls at the same time.
2. Be able to transfer anywhere in the office.
3. Ring at all stations when a call comes in so everyone has a fair chance to answer. Not just 1 line getting all calls and then rolling over to next in line.
4. to lose the least amount of calls possible if all 10 agents on on phone and calls keep coming in…maybe an option to hold till someones available….
Someone also told us that just go through the phone company and they will assign 1 number for all lines and a "hunting" for calls to come in…..would that work? would we at least be able to transfer a call to someone else in the office? will all phones ring at once?
Also what’s the rule to follow ….i have seen some phone systems with 6 lines, 8 lines, etc…but it seems you can run more than 1 phone on each….or will that limit the amount calls at the same time to each line. Wow…i think i just confused myself…

This is to answer MeMe. I love Miami…it is great here but the only problem is that it is pretty expensive. I want more house for my money…I don’t want to pay 00 a month for a nice apartment that in any other place it would cost 0. In Miami a nice big house (2,500 sq ft. 3/2) costs about 0,000… i know i can find a bigger one in NC or TX for half the price. That is why Miami sucks. Also, there are a lot of jobs in TX. Here in Miami, or Fort Lauderdale there is only Citrix, Burger King, and Nortel Networks, as the companies I would work for… and they are not even that big. In TX i know that they have over 50 Fortune 500 companies, in NC I know that IBM…Cisco…. and many big companies have offices. That is why i want to leave Miami…for a better future and more for my money.
My cell phone company (T-Mobile), has canceled my service every month since I got the service on June 6, 2008. Claiming they cannot see on their system where I made the payment for installation. I find it strange that the service was installed, I have the receipt showing the debit card transaction was authorized (from their very own office), the deduction was made from my bank account but yet I’m missing my June payment????
I have faxed the transaction receipt to the T-Mobile office, the bank has done the same. Now they tell me that my service will not restored because I cannot provide proof of payment. What the heck? The phone has been disconnected & reconnected every day since the beginning of this week. I am not only terribly annoyed, I am losing money for each day because contractors call us while in the field on the business cell.
Do I even have grounds for filing a suit and how do I go about it? I lost ,000.00 on a job that I was called to do but since my phone was off, I missed out and that’s a major blow especially in this economy. HELP….

Hi, I’m new to this, but i am going around in ircles wondering what to do.
I am 24, I have two children who are 5 and 2, they are not my partner’s. i have been with my partner who is 22 for just over a year now(ive known him for 6), and the last year has been very stressful because we have had to move house so many times and had no money. But we have got through it and he loves the kids and vice versa.
he is a sound engineer and I am a session singer and also in a band as the lead singer that he works for. He also works in a theatre doing other shows.
A couple of months ago, he engineered a telent show and this girl was singing in it. By the look of things, they got on really well.
I has in hospital the previous two weeks before this and I’d had an operation so i wasn’t really in the mood to get intimate( i feel i should point this out). I noticed that she has added him to her facebook, and I mentioned to him that she works fast. Was she a good singer? He said No she was rubbish, nothing more than a seazy pub singer. I thought nothing of this until a couple of weeks later when i found a text from her on his phone, there were kisses on the end of it and she called him hun and said sorry i culdnt meet you last night.
I confronted him and asked how she got his number and he told me someone had put her in touch with him because she was thinking of buying a PA system. I told him i didnt like the way she spoke and would he just delete her number and tell her to stop flirting? he replied yes.
I forgot about this until a couple of weeks ago when i was using his phone and he said out of the blue, "if u have been through my phone numbers you will find ive saved al’s 2nd number(al is a mate from work), its his business mobile". i though hmm strange. then last week i saw the texts from this "al", and well i this guy definately doesnt put xxx and call him hunni, so i started getting really suspiciouse that he’d saved this girls number under "al".
The other day he’d left himself signed onto facebook(he’d changed his password a month or so ago), so i sneakily checked his messages.
There I found 19 messages, with my boyfriend telling her she’s so talented, would she sing in the band, calling her sexy, and would she meet up with him. i was devaststed. he told me she was chasing after him, but it was clearly the toher way round.
I confronted him the other day about it, and he lied about her right up to the point where i said you can stop lying because i found your facebook messages. he kept texting me to say he was sorry he made a mistake ut he didnt cheat.
I’ve agreed to sort things out with him but i cant get past the lies. He tells me he lied because he knew straightaway i didnt like her, bt he knows im not usually the jealous type, ive always let him have female friends, and have no prob with him engineering female singers.
I don’t know what to do. Every time i look at him i cant stop thinking about how he lied, and how he didnt think of me or the kids when he was texting her and messaging her. he’s deleted her number now and i’ve text her telling her to back off but what if this happens again?
Does anyone have any advice as to how I can dal with this problem? I have a weekend without the children this week so it’s my chance to get my head straight. I’m already very badly depressed, and it’s starting to send me over the edge. I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning, and I feel so ugly and crap. Why did my fella feel the need to go behind my back when i’ve completely trusted him for the last year, and worshipped the ground he walks on?
He calls me his princess, but right now I don’t feel like one. i feellike a damsel in distress.

I work at a hotel and I love my job. But there are pet peeves of mine that drive me up a d@mn wall! Like the fact that I say " Hello, thank you for calling……….(my place of work) my name is Tiffany, how may I help you?" The responses that I get are " Yeah how much are al yalls rooms for …….. (date)?" Not a hi or a hello but a YEAH. And then 90% of the time people never say goodbye, they just hang up! Barely a thank u or anything. And you can tel if the person is using a cordless phone or a corded phone. Because if they have a cord they SLAM the phone down. And the noise hurts my ears very badly because our phone is sensitive to loud noises.
So people please when you call any place of business to speak with an employee please please please use common phone manners like hello, goodbye, please and thank you. It really makes us less cranky to deal with and often times can make our days.
I understand that they are potential GUESTS, never customers, and that my salary does come from the money that comes into this hotel. We are placed under a great deal of stress so it is always polite and refreshing to hear please thank you hi and goodbye. I do make sure to use them and I am as nice as possible especially when people interupt me when i am trying to tell thme their information.

I stupidly gave a scammer money as a deposit. The thing is I signed no contract but the FAKE REALTOR is telling me I have to wait a week to get my money back and I’m afraid she will be long gone in a week. I found this person through a newspaper advertising and all have is their name(which could be fake), a business phone # (which gives no addr listing) and the susposely realtor cell phone #. Anyone have any advice. I can’t afford an attorney & they wont give you a consultation unless you pay for that too.

We have to office locations (A & B). Currenlty A has a Avaya phone switch. We are looking at moving people to location B and setting up a point to point T1 between the two. Data traffic will be easy, but can someone help me understand our options for voice? Currently at location A there are no direct numbers, only extensions. Ideally we would like workers at location B to have extensions and be able to transfer calls directly to extensions in our office. Can we utilize our current switch between locations using the T1?
Thanks for the great responses. Some details if it will help: Right now we have one pbx at office A. Ideally Office B would not have any phone lines and would be served extensions that can transfer transparently with extensions in A. Switch in office A is a Partner Plus ACS and is not T1 compatible. A dedicated T1 would be in place already for data use so I want to see if it makes sense to try and leverage it for voice traffic as well. Looking at channel bridges to interface pbx with T1 router (via vwic?). Would a tie line make more sense? Would like to keep the pbx in office A in use and not discard the money we’ve invested into it.
A company discriminated against me because of my visual.disability. I only worked for the company 3 weeks & HR said they would provide software for the computer at the very first start of training day & they didn’t do it. I emphasized that it was hard for me to see the screen but they said they had to wait and see what management said. After 3 weeks of struggling on the job, the HR department called me into their office & told me that I would need written documentation of my disability in order for them to even assist me. I told them the accomodation was promised at the start of training but the department told me that they were sorry for giving me misleading information. They couldn’t even assist me with the time I would even recieve the accomodation.They also made it hard for me to even see a doctor because of the hours of the training class. Now I filed a charge with EEOC & wonder how much I should settle for.if Iwin. I lost my job, apartment, grandpa when working, & money.How much?
