the new phone book does not come out till Aug 2010. What are some good places to advertise a new business before then?

I’m hoping to start a new business in a city located about 1 hour from where I live. I’m hoping to get some advice etc, about the area and their thoughts on my idea.

What would I look for though in the phone book?

I own a company that drops lines for computer and phone networks, patch panels, wireless network setup, and basically anything IT related.

I don’t know how to classify this business. Is it computer communications, telecommunications, IT services..or what?

And who should I target to get new business? Do general contractors use these services or is it the end user, the company that used the general contractor to set up their business?

I’m planning to secure several numbers for a new business I’m starting up, 1 main line, several extensions with the same area code and exchange, and several additional extensions for later use. It’s a rare area code, so I want to make sure I get the numbers now in case I can’t get them later.

I need a place to park the numbers that I’m not going to use right away at a low cost. My first instinct is a year each at magicjack, but they don’t allow porting yet (they’re going to start porting numbers later this year). phonenumberbank.com is a month, which is cheap, but not that cheap. Google Voice would be great, but it’ll be a year or two before they’ll let me get a bunch of accounts and port numbers into them. Anyone know of another cheap option that I can use for this purpose?
Just found http://www.parkmyphone.com/plans-rates.php

So now I’m only looking for options cheaper than per month per number plus one time fee, which is pretty cheap already. Anyone know of any?

Also, if anyone knows of a service that does call forwarding while still allowing me to call out from that number, that would be great. Google Voice does that, but again, they don’t do porting and it’s tough to get an account. Thanks.

Been trying to find out how to implement the new Skype VOIP system for my new business. Will the Skype be able to replace my "commander system" being able to facilitate 4 incoming / outgoing calls at the same time?
