It’s strictly legal (licensed, insured, bonded), and I’ve mailed 200 postcards, put flyers on windshields, and a magnet on my car door that shows my company name, logo, telephone, website, amd email. Been doing this since October, and not one person has called. This is pathetic. I keep paying insurance premiums every month, but as far as advertising in the newspapers & yellowpages (online & phone book) it’s way too expensive. Help?
Thanks to all of you guys who took the time to answer my question. Great responses!!

I have a Motorola E815 phone that has a bluetooth feature on it. I am completely new to the concept of bluetooth and its still pretty vague to me. I’m supposed to be able to connect with my computer to transfer data and files, right?(Mainly phone book, but maybe some pictures as well.) Is there some sort of receiver or transmitter that is supposed to hook up to the computer? Or just a setting possibly that I need to adjust on the computer? And does it matter if that phone is not activated at the moment?

Time to replace the old! I need something that is durable, not a lite-weight phone, with multiple handsets, 5.8 ghz, that I can program in our phone book and have those numbers ring differently when they call the house. An answering machine would be okay, but is not necessary. Also, a speakerphone is a must, because that way we always know where *one* phone is <lol>
Main needs
Reception through the whole house
Distinct ring for programmed numbers
A nice weight to the handsets
Speakerphone
Answering system optional

I want to buy this building in the city I live in. The property looks vacant but there arent any for sale signs as far as I can see. There is no telephone number on the outside of the building and its not listed in the phone book. How can I find out if this property is for sale and who the owner is?

I’m getting into insurance. I want to contact brand new companies that may not yet have insurance. What is a way I can compile of a list of these companies with their telephone numbers? Each must get a business license….is there a way I can get that info? How about recent phone book additions?

I am starting a new business. The business will be ran out of a "former" home so the install tech wouldn’t know the difference. So can I use a residential line but register my number for the yellow pages? I want my number to show up under the business name if it is searched via the internet or local phone book. Any ideas. They want too much money for a business land line. Any other ideas? Voip or another alternative? Can’t seem to find local numbers under any of the Voip providers.

Just bought a new Ford Edge limited that has the Sync system. I can get the phone to hook up to the system via bluetooth, but I can’t get the phone book to download. I know technically, the blackjack doesn’t have that capability. Does anyone know of any hacks or programs I can install on it so that I can have voice activated dialing?

I have a business phone and fax number registered in the Seattle area. It is not registered as an unlisted number. But every time a phone book comes out, my number(s) never show up. Is there a way to have Dex or Yellow Book add my number? I don’t want in advertisement or anything. Just a listing like everyone else. I feel that I am losing customers this way.

I just committed to ,400. bill for next year for phone book advertising. Would like to hear others experience…
We’re in a community of less than 60k. I don’t know if a traffic to our website would matter?
It is a landscape construction company, so having a customer is Canada won’t help me, alas. I do have a website, but just use it as a portfolio.

New 2007 Camry Hybrid has bluetooth technology and has a main navigation and information screen. This screen allows the user to transfer phone numbers form a cell phone into the phone book or enter them in by hand, using the touch screen. When entering the phone numbers into the phone book does this system allow the user to utilize a hard-pause, which would give the ability to enter additional numbers to be sent after the phone call is connected. i.e. passwords, calling cards, extensions, etc…

If you were to take a random sample of 1000 phone numbers from the city’s phone book, how many numbers would be expect to be unlisted, non business phone numbers that start with a numeral other than 2?
