I am moving into a new building, and was recently informed that all tenants must provide their phone numbers to have an active doorbell. I’ve never heard of this before? But then I’ve always lived in older buildings. Can someone explain how this works, and why management offices are doing this? What happens if your phone service is disconnected for non-payment and turned back on? Will management have to reprogram everything again?
Does this mean the bell doesn’t ring at all? Only the phone? Does this mean all visitors must have my phone number? I don’t give all my relatives my home number? lol
Also, when someone rings the bell, will caller ID let me know whether it’s the door or a call? Sometimes all this high tech stuff just takes away from privacy.

I am looking at upgrading the cell phone to a Blackberry. If I purchase the phone somewhere else besides my cell phone carrier store, how do I add the phone to the plan? I would like to stop using my old phone and use the new Blackberry instead and simply use the same phone number. How do I change phones?

When my own Cingular contract was complete, I bought prepaid phone cards for my Nokia phone. Now that my friend’s Cingular contract is complete, how can I use her old LG G4015 phone with prepaid phone cards, considering that she transfered her phone number to her new phone? Will this involve SIM cards?

i work at a call center right now, after the receptionist "industry" here went down the drain. but I HAVE to get out of this place. i REALLY want to find work as a secretary or receptionist. i ‘m a people person and thrive in a proffessional atmosphere. So here’s my resume for a executive secretary position at a private doctors office. I would much love opinions!
To whom is may concern
I am writing this letter to express my interest in the executive secretary position that I discovered in your Craigslist ad.
I believe I am an ideal candidate for this position because I am a detail oriented, caring, outgoing, charismatic, and passionate individual. I have previous experience as a receptionist, along with a strong background in telephone etiquette and front desk manners. I have a sunny, out going disposition, and a desire to put a smile on each person’s face the moment they walk through the door. While striving to be the best that I can be, I work to excel beyond expectations in all that I do. I have good judgment skills when handling confidential material and information, with the desire to find solutions to even the toughest problems while maintaining a professional atmosphere. I am energetic and have the ability to multi task in a fast pace environment and am highly motivated to succeed!
You may view my information on my resume that is attached. I will contact you within 1-2 weeks to arrange an interview. I am available any day of the week after 5, or anytime on the weekends. You can contact me at (phone number). If you need references I can provide them upon request. I thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Rachel (last name)

This crazy woman keeps calling me and texting me insisting that my phone number is her ex David’s cell and she won’t believe me. So, it has been weeks of her calls and texts. Can I block the number? I can’t find it in my cell phone manual and Tmobile website was no help.

I just switched all my cable, internet and phone to Verizon FIOS. The technology is great, but I’ve had nothing but headaches from their customer service. They screwed up switching my phone number, so I have a temporary phone number for 3 weeks until they can straighten it out. I’ve had to call the customer service line for other issues and have had extremely long wait times, got transfered to other reps all over the place, and just plain attitudes from them. Anyone else have bad service from Verizon? I used to think AT&T had the worst customer service but now Verizon has taken the number one spot!

I have a metro pcs phone.. my mom took it away for bad grades & all, then a couple of weeks ago she disconnected the service because she thought she lost it. I don’t know whether she just suspended the service or she totally got rid of it, either way, will I still have the same phone number as I did before?

We run a non-profit using our cell phones. The main phone number for the group goes to an answering machine. Is there a way to have the phone messages go to a website where members can login and retrieve the voice messages through the computer?
Thank you!
