I run a very small non-profit and over the course of time, business directories have come to know and publish the phone number. It has propogated all over the internet on business listings such as MerchantsCircle, CitySearch, etc. Do you know how I can notify one or a few major organizations, and ask that the phone number be removed? Or is there a government listing I can be on that makes it against the law to call a phone number unsolicited? I do not want to contact each site individually, there are too many sites.

Is there actually a way to track cell phone calls where you can actually hear the conversations on the phone? Maybe possibly a way without putting a chip, maybe a track it through a computer with only using the phone number? Thanks

I get this call every night, but there is a phone number and the name part just says "AKFD". It’s like a jumble. Is there any good way to do a reverse lookup of the number and find out where this is coming from?

Like it turns a date into a phone number that it will call if I click it :S
It bothers me a lot, especially that it doesn’t look very pleasant either!
Does Skype allow me to disable this?

I want to try and call my friends that don’t have skype. I am living in Argentina and need to make phone calls to my friends in the U.S.
I have bought so many phone cards and they only give me 15 minutes or so. I heard once before of a company that gives you a phone number for your computer that people can call you for free. Anyone know of this? I hope someone knows of something to help me.

There are times when anyone would want to make an anonymous phone call for reasons of privacy. 800 call centers use software which identifies your number and then brings up a screen full of personal information about the owner of that phone number. This puts the caller at a disadvantage and increases the risk of ID theft, harassment, stalking, etc etc etc.
I assume if a person bought the right equipment they could eradicate any personal info including their cell account number, once the call is placed.
True or false ?

Hello,
I use a Hosted PBX system in my office. We already contract 3 phones from them and each phone has their own phone number. I need to add another phone, is it possible for me to buy from someone else and connect it to the PBS system provided by the provider?
I didn’t realize that there were cheaper alternatives out there and unfortunately I have one more year left in our contract.
Thank you.

I have Comcast Digital Voice and need to change my phone number. Getting some annoying calls at all hours of the night. I was wondering if you can change your phone number without having to jump through all the whoops of there automated system to get to a real person.

I type in a phone number. I save my draft. I come back to edit the message later, and where the phone number was is now a Skype button for the phone number, and the original phone number that I typed. How do I turn off this automatic insertion of Skype phone buttons?

Last Friday (1-14) I purchased a North Face Apex Bionic from the website northface-outlets.com for .99. It had me go through a weird checkout process but I was being stupid and didn’t really make anything of it. I got an email the next day from Billing Support System saying thank you for your purchase blah blah blah. It also said the purchase shown on my account statement would be EFASHIONTRADE.EU.
Still wasn’t thinking and let a few days go by and wait for a shipping confirmation email…still haven’t got on. On the previous email there was an email address and they said if you have any problems/refunds/returns, contact us here. I did that and got an error message saying it was an invalid email address.
Now I started to get suspicious. I went back the the original site I purchased it from and went to the contact us page. I was a dead link and I’m guessing it was no accident.
I tried calling this Billing Support System place through a phone number they left in there email. I never got through to them, all i got was hold music.
I got another email from them, this one was pretty weird with terrible spelling. Here it is:

http://www.whois.net/whois/northface-outlets.com
Of course, some chinese company
So I guess I got ripped off. I’m really pissed at myself for being so stupid. Is there any way I can get my money back or at least report them for fraud or something??
Thank you so much!
