I am moving into a new building, and was recently informed that all tenants must provide their phone numbers to have an active doorbell. I’ve never heard of this before? But then I’ve always lived in older buildings. Can someone explain how this works, and why management offices are doing this? What happens if your phone service is disconnected for non-payment and turned back on? Will management have to reprogram everything again?
Does this mean the bell doesn’t ring at all? Only the phone? Does this mean all visitors must have my phone number? I don’t give all my relatives my home number? lol
Also, when someone rings the bell, will caller ID let me know whether it’s the door or a call? Sometimes all this high tech stuff just takes away from privacy.

I had a tracfone that fell and broke. I can not turn it back on and retreive my phone numbers to move them to the new phone. I tried moving the sim card over to the new phone, but the new one doesn’t register the old sim card. Is there any way to retreive the numbers from the old phone that doesn’t power up by putting the old sim card in the new phone and unlocking somehow? Thanks!

I need to find some details from a cell phone number! Do reverse phone lookup searches provide details for cell phone and landline phone numbers, or is it just landline numbers?

I recently installed Skype and it has taken over my email by hiding the phone numbers – you can only see the first two digits in my yahoo email. I don’t want skpe to interfere with my email.

So I am being deployed and I am wondering about skype, it will work anywhere there is internet computer to computer correct? My question is about the skype phone numbers. There is 21 countries on the list for the skype phone numbers but my question is, does the country you are calling from need to be on the list, or just the one you are calling to, or both? Because it would be nice to be able to call cell phones from my computer but the country I am going to isn’t on the list.
If thats the case that it works the same anywhere what is the list of countries about…

I am a web developer. My client asked me to put up a hospital directory in the USA. It is almost finished. But the one he asked me to do confuses me. Most of the hospitals there have their phone numbers. He asked me to make the phone numbers VOIP able/ready so that people visiting our site can call the hospital by VOIP. Is this possible?
Can I convert someone’s analog number into VOIP? We have no any kind of relations on the hospitals listed on the website. Should I add any prefix number to do this?

Use phone numbers from the phone company currently, but it is a pretty crude process.

I run a landscaping business. We’d like to keep a searchable database that lists our clients, their adress, phone numbers and also a link to their invoice which is in excel files. Do I need specialized software or is there something that already exists that I can use?

I would like to use my cell phone for both business and personal calls. Is it possible to have 2 different phone numbers attached to the same phone number. I’d like each number to have its own voice mail and also a different ring tone so I know which line is necessary. If this is possible, does it require a special type of cell phone?
