Is the Nvidia 9800M (notice the M) equvilent to the 9800 GT for desktops? Will it play games such as the upcoming The Sims 3 that recommend 9800 M ?

Please do not leave useless comments if you do not know how to compare Hardware. The 1st computer supports SLI while the second doesn’t. However i have read some pretty bad reviews of the 1st Motherboard (and good ones too), about how it cannot fit 2 newer cards(which are bigger and have big fans attached to them). Both use ddr2 RAM, while the 2nd computer uses the slower 667 MHz. This is just a small example of the differences. ***Thank you George, Yes i know 6g ram is a waste. And im not a ATI person and 260gtx is beyond my budget. I plan on getting a 260 later ina year or 2, or having another 9800gtx on sli, but the problem is im still not sure if it will fit. though it should. **Thank you Pwned, that is what i ordered already, but i would still like to hear if anyone has a different opinion.

I have installed both Warhammer online and FFXI on my Toshiba Satellite model A305-S6858 which has Vista on it. Warhammer looks fine however FFXI isn’t looking correct with mostly the characters and mobs in the game. They flicker and appear to only show some of the colors or all the colors and parts of the character or mob are missing.

I’m not sure what settings I need to change if I can to make this work correctly. I have installed the newest DirectX and video drivers and still not working properly and this is even after I reinstalled the OS. Which I did for other reason.

I am probably giving more info than needed or maybe not enough.. However if someone can direct me the direction needed to get this solved I would be most greatful!

I found out some info and I am looking for a Intel X3100 (GM965 chipset) driver thats 64 bit…could only find the 32 bit one… Its a specail fix for the graphic issue I am having…so if anyone knows of where I can find it that would be great! Untill then I will keep searching. Thanks!

You go to Intels main page

click downloads under work section. (takes you to a new window)

Select "Graphics" on the left side
Select "laptop graphic contollers"
Select "Mobile Intel 965 express chipset family" (takes you to a new window)

Just select the OS and go from there. As of last night they did have the vista home premium for downloading. I am not sure for the othe other os downloads.

When I edit the question stating about the 64 bit driver being found, that was when I had the issue resolved… So thanks to you all for replying. Just glad I can play now with graphics back to normal.

i want a computer that will last a long time and is good for music pictures and normal web browsing and such i want a computer that can run sims2 and blackberry theme builder and i use it alot becuase i do schooling online so i just need a good computer and i want to know if all this is good for what i want to do

is this good netbook to get for what im looking for its 298$ plus shiping
ok well i play old games but its not going to just be my laptop it will be my cusints to and hes yunger and he likes digimon and that and theres this game digimon rpg for online and you got to download it so will the netbook be abel to and its for videos and 30 min tv shows downloading ps could i save the digimon game on a flash drive or a memory card like a camera memory card

right guys of just been searching through device manager and what ive found out is a lot of stuff seems to have no drivers installed but if i try to update driver it says i have the best driver installed ???

here is a list of a few that have no driver installed , iv also installed a piece of software called radarsync which checks your computer for out of date drivers and it says im up to date ???
