I have Comcast Digital Voice and need to change my phone number. Getting some annoying calls at all hours of the night. I was wondering if you can change your phone number without having to jump through all the whoops of there automated system to get to a real person.

OK, getting a machine is bad enough, having no choice but to follow prompts, worse. But when the machine "talks" to you like its a real person, does that get on your nerves?
Oh yeah, the machines that put on angry voices. Next they’ll have machines that insult your mother, call you the c word and threaten to take your wallet.

I want to sell things on Amazon, but it says that you get a phone call when you sign up. Is this a real person or is it automated? I’m assuming they are just calling to verify the account, but do they ask anything specific? I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I’m a bit phone phobic. Thanks for the help!

Like when you call a customer service line for assistance and talk to a real person. I’d also like to hear from people who have done this kind of work who can tell us about their experience.

ok, so. Last night my friend and i got prank called and a number showed up. first it called her from a number like 6528768 with some weird recorded messege(but it was like set up so you would think it was a real person) then five minutes later the same recording called me but from a different number. then later on it called form a friends number but when we asked they really truly had no idea. ohh, and some old lady called me bitching about calling her house at 3am.

I used to have a WOW account but then it got hacked and I could never get back on it. I tried calling Blizzard but I couldn’t ever get in to talk to a real person. I just gave up. I want to start back up again but the codes for my software wont work because it says they are associated with another account. Is there a way to make them work for the new account I’m creating?

I have had it with yahoo.. I was annoyed that they deleted my question and docked me points, but now I cant even get a real person to respond to me. I could live with the points… (they are easy to get back) but after reading their (computer generated) responses to my appeals, it is obvious that they are full of themselves.
Im deleting my yahoo toolbars, and all yahoo software on my machine. I will see if there are any other sites on the internet.
(Hello Google)
Is anyone else getting fed up with these Yahoos… or is it just me?

Just blowing off steam here….. How many of you are fed up with automated phone systems. Using your cell phone, no less….being hon hold for minutes on end, only to get an automated voice that asks question after question, and finally when you get to the choice needed, your voice activated responce cannot be understood, and yet you cannot reach a REAL PERSON!! There’s no way around it, and it is SO AGGRIVATING!!!
