I need to reserve several toll-free numbers for a company that we just started. We don’t have physical office locations set up yet, however we want to reserve the numbers to make sure we can use them later. I need to be able to transfer the number to whatever service provider we end up using.

Does anyone know a cheap way/service to do this? I have been trying to research but all of the info i’ve found online on toll free numbers is rather confusing.

Right now my service provider is t-mobile and I’m trying to decide between one of the new blackberries or an iphone 3g. I’m worried that if I get the iphone and something happens to it I won’t be able to do anything and I’m not sure if all of the features will work with t-mobile…if anyone can help me out with this that would be great!
for the iphone I would have to insert my t-mobile SIM card

I had a blackberry and ported my number over to a different service provider just to find out that the new service provider didn’t work in my house. So I switched back to my blackberry and I guess in the process, my email information got deleted. When I went to add my yahoo email again, the icon shows up as a yahoo envelope rather than the original email envelope. Does anyone know how to get the original icon?

I’m trying to upgrade my companies current phone system. We currently use an Avaya phone system, and Verizon as our service provider. What we’re looking to do is upgrade our conference capabilities. Right now we can only have two external parties connected unless we use a dial in number. Although the dial in number works my boss would prefer for us to be able to simply call people and add them to the call as needed, as well as let them call in when needed. In addition he would like to be able to transfer the call to a another phone if need be. For many reasons a VOIP system has been ruled out and is not an a option (although it seems like an easy solution, trust me I’ve been pushing for it). There has to be a non-VOIP phone system out there that can handle these simple tasks. Please help!

i have the ability to predict racehorse to win /place in the horseracing at my country.so i like to start the sms service for a small fees from the service provider.i do not know how do go about it.ps advice accordingly.thk you.

I work for LaTech Fire and Security systems in Baton Rouge. We recently acquired a product that was designed with assisted living in mind. This system can be set up to monitor the perimeter of the home as well as medicine cabinets, thermostats, movement in the bedroom (in case a person hasn’t gotten up) and it can even monitor lighting as well as electrical outlets by enabling a person to turn them on and off from their smart phone or computer. The system also provides weather updates and alerts for the area (good for arthritic patients) and instant access to a central station operator in the event of an emergency. Needless to say, this product is pretty cool! The only problem is that many of those who would greatly benefit from it are on fixed incomes. To have this system installed would cost b/t 0-0 (depending on the case) and monthly monitoring is almost per month. I showed it to someone today who asked if it could be covered by any program. I have no idea, but I definately think it should be. Especially since the monitoring is provided by an ambulance company. So, who would I contact to see if medicaid would reimburse any of the cost of this system? I have no idea how to go about this or who to even ask. I could really use some guidance. How would any other service provider go about getting approved for medicaid patients?

I am interested in the tech stuff and how the Service Provider actually provides the service etc.

Here in the UK, if you have an issue with your service provider (landline or cell phone) which cannot be amicably resolved, the next step is to complain to the telcoms regulatory body to try get satisfaction. Is there any type of "watchdog" body for the US telephone service providers?

Your company is a service provider for cable TV, cable internet and mobile phone services. There is already a similar dominant telecommunications company in the university. How would you market and differentiate yourselves from the compeition.

I’m looking to buy a new cell phone and need to find out what my options are. I’m not crazy about the limited selection of cell phones that my service provider offers and would like to buy one elsewhere. Can you buy a phone from another place (e.g. Walmart, ebay, etc.), take it to your cell service provider, and have your current plan transferred onto it, or can you only do this with phones that are bought from your service provider? Many stores sell contract phones that are already linked with a certain service provider that offers a plan with purchase. Is it true that there are codes that are already programmed in for just one provider? Can this be changed? And what about pre-paid phones – can you buy one and have a regular contract service transferred onto it? Please help! Thanks

Can I use a Linksys SIP PBX with a Cisco VoIP phone? Also, what service provider would support this? I live in Honolulu, Hawaii, if that makes a difference.

I dont want to be in the whole prepaid dilema and having to refill my credit every time. What’s the best service provider I could choose that would make it a mothly bill, and I could have all access to the internet with my phone?
