It seems as though the mobile phone companies are more interested in creating phones that operate as a stalking device these days. If you are using an Android phone with the Google Latitude on their Maps application, then you always know where your Latitude friends are physically located. Why does the government not restrict what these mobile phone manufacturers and service providers are selling?

Basically, I’m confused about if there’s just one 3g network or many that service providers use that all provide about the same speed?

I recently switched service providers but I can’t get my SIM card to work in the phone (SIEMENS C65). The screen just says ‘phone disabled!
NETWORK LOCK’
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks.

I lost my phone a few days ago. Both the holster and phone are gone. Do service providers have a service that finders can get phones back to the owner? Who makes a good holster that can keep the phone with the holster and the holster on you?

Is it free to make calls using VOIP on iPod Touch?
Do I have to have some phone account with Rogers, Bell or other service providers?

I would really want to use a software wherein I would be able to set up my own server and configure it in a class. I would also prefer freeware or service providers to provide simple but quality VoIP services.
I’m planning just to have a voice chat connection with my student’s computers in order to check them during our speech lab sessions.
Thank you very much.
Does anyone know a VoIP software capable on LAN? My class uses LAN. Thank you again!

When I was looking up phones on the web some of the phones stated the service providers while most of them. If wanting to buy a certain phone, how can I find which serivce provider it is compatible with?

I am new in the USA, and I need to get a phone. I am quite confused since there are so many plans and service providers. I am a student, and I dont use the phone a lot, but I do make calls to certain people quite frequently, like my mom for example (and she uses Verizon). Which one would you recommend, and which plan?
Thank you.

I live in the north west suburbs and I currently have Nextel and I think it sucks (service and price)! Wondering what company I should use when my contract is up at the end of Spetember. I want good (clear) service and a good rate plan. Im looking for a phone with a good camera, easy text messaging and would also like to be able to access the net (not as important). I really want to get a T-Mobile Sidekick but I am unsure if the phone or the service is any good. What are your opinions of t-mobile service and the sidekick3?
What other phone or service providers would you recommend?

I am looking for an Internet Phone Service that will allow me to make and record phone calls directly from my computer. I would like a software solution without any additional hardware equipment, using only the service providers interface and features. It is also important to be able to record long phone conversations (30 – 45 minutes) and not be limited to only a few minutes.

Hosted PBX is the notion that your service providers hosts your phone system for you. Then over an IP connection you are connected to that service provider. You don’t have to manage anything. you simply plug ini your IP phone.
Who is familiar with this concept?
