I don’t use the mobile-to-mobile function so its not a big deal to use that.

But I need a list or something of phones I can use.
Like just pop in the boost sim card.

I have an account with them but my old phone died so I ordered one off eBay. I just want my number switched over (I don’t have a sim card in my existing phone) and there aren’t any stores around my college. Can I just call a number to get the service transferred?

Tracfone sim card will not work with any other phone unfortunately. This is due to the software meant for this sim card, it is meant to track the minutes, so the sim will not work.

I’m in Canada right now and will be going to Bangkok soon. I have a Samsung cell phone and was wondering if I can bring it and use it in Thailand like I do here. I know that I have to get a new Thai SIM card. But do they have the same cell phone system (e.g. GSM, CDMA, etc.)? I think Canada uses the GSM system - what about Thailand?

I am using Malaysia 3G Maxis Broadband service, it uses a HuaWei USB Modem, with a Sim card connected to my computer. They have this rubbish something called fair usage policy to block their customers using P2P softwares and Bit Torrent. This made my life sucks. Please help me how should I do to use P2P, or is there any software to use that enable me to download BT. Thanks

I get 200 text messages a month, but mid way into the month i switched phones. But, I still have the same sim card. Do the # of text messages that i hd on my old phone count? Because when I went onto the at&t website it only counted the messages on my new phone. I just don’t want to go over by too much.

Our 2 year AT&T phone contract has just expired and I want to upgrade my phone. After my previous phone died (of old age) I got a very cheap Go Phone and ended up putting my SIM card in it to get me by until our contract expired. After being stuck with a "crappy" phone for so long I want something nice and high quality.

I’ve been watching a reading reviews and Quickfire gets a thumbs up on the quality of calls and the keyboard, but the touch screen isn’t very responsive.

The iPhone gets a thumbs up in every category as far as I can tell, it seems to be a favorite and the best out there. It can be used as a phone, an iPod, a way to watch movies, internet, email, and a way to play games (applications). The one downfall I see is the extra you pay a month.

I’m only 17 years old and would be paying for the the phone and the extra a month (if I go with the iPhone) and I’m just wondering if it’s worth it for a teenager to have such a high-tech-business-man-type of phone? On top of the phone I’d pay 0 a year. I know I’d use it as an iPod and would use the applications. When we travel in the car I know I’d love to have my own personal entertainment system and would use the internet frequently. I have email and I check it regularly, but I don’t need to be checking it constantly, so this phone is not a necessity to me. It’d be a luxury item (that I personally would be paying for) that I think I would really love and use constantly.

My question is do you think the iPhone wouth be worth 0 a year? Or should I just go for the Quickfire? If anyone has been in my situation what have you done? My parents think I will regret not having that extra money, but all my friends say it would be "the coolest thing ever" and I should go for it. I personally really want it, but if anyone has this phone, is it worth it? Any advice is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kalie
:) Oh wow…I’ve never heard of the HTC Fuze. Does the extra a month apply to it as well? Information and oppinions of the Fuze are also much appreciated. :) As far as I can tell the HTC Fuze is even more of a "high-tech-business-man-type of phone" and would be way too excessive for someone my age. But any additional information and opinions on it would be much appreciated. :)

Verizon Wireless’s website says I can purchase one of these phones for use with their service..
Nokia 6021
Nokia 2610
Nokia 2650 (flip phone)

it also says this..
Already have an international phone? You can take full advantage of Global Rental’s worldwide coverage, by purchasing a SIM card for .

What phones would I be able to get if I were to take that option?
I will be going to France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, and the Caribbean.

I also may be going to Australia.

I don’t yet have a phone but am going to buy one, would I be able to buy a Verizon sim card, keep my current verizon number, and be able to use this new phone in the US as well?

Can I buy any unlocked cdma/gsm phone? which ones are compatible?

alright, so this iphone i got is from a friend, and the reason he sold it to me is cuz he terminated his contract with at&t. (i have t mobile). the phone is still under warranty and all that.
Well, there is a problem with the phone,
it needs a new battery,
i called apple and they said they’ll send in a box (for mail support).

I’ll send the phone about tuesday or wednesday..
but I dont think theyre gonna appreciate it if the phones jailbroken.
And i dont think i can restore the phone through itunes because it needs activation ( i dont have an at&t account)

can you please tell me how to restore the phone into an original 3.0 (or even just 2.2.1) software without the use of itunes?

or maybe, if i restore it with itunes,
can i do it even without an at&t plan?
(i still have the old at&t sim card, but theres no network in it).

Thanks guys for your help, i really appreciate it.

-john
Edit for phil:
phil,
dont you have to "activate" your iphone when you restore it through itunes?
