How can I record a telephone call?

Federal law allows a telephone conversation to be recorded with one party’s consent (in this case, mine). I want to record incoming phone calls from a debt collection agency in case they treat me like I’ve heard they treat everybody. What’s the lowest-priced option to record incoming calls to a cell phone? I have a Kyocera cell (without speakerphone) and a tape recorder with only a microphone. I found one company that charges {content}.15/min to record outgoing calls, but that doesn’t help me. Something like that would work great for me if it records people calling me. Oh, and if you suggest a device, try to let me know where I can buy it (preferably in a store).

I live in California and an agency resides in Kansas. I understand that in California it is illegal to record a telephone conversation without the acknowledgment of all parties. However, in Kansas law its OK to record the conversation as long as one party acknowledges it (i.e. the calling agency). So which law is dominant in this situation? At the end of my conversation the agent said he will review my phone call through a recording, a recording which I never knew about and I was never given notice about.

just know a German for some time, i heard him make a phone call, and he ended it with a smooch. i thought it was a relative or his girlfriend, but he said it was a business phone call. and he said it’s common in Germany to end a telephone conversation with a mooch, even it’s a formal one. Is it true?
thank you for your information. well, it was not his secretary that he’s flirting with or a colleague, he said it was someone from a recruitment agency, i was wondering also if someone from the recruitment agency would call him on sunday morning at 10.00.
