How a voip can save your money. Actually I know that voip is the cheapest phone service available but my friend told me that I could save more money with VoIP if I use it intelligently.

I am using up a ton of minutes on my cell phone. I was thinking about using a VOIP app to make calls since I use my wireless router at home instead of my data plan. However, I was hoping there would be a VOIP program that would allow me to make free calls even to land lines, not just other VOIP users. Do you know of anything like this?

OK – I just asked a question about VoIP and I got a sensible answer … it seems I can be more flexible with my phones … basically that’s what I need for my business. Can anyone recommend a decent supplier in London … I’m in Camden, London – just need to speek to a decent human being about this.

Hey Friends, I am planning to buy I touch. but 8 Gb model does not support Mic and I wonder whether I can use Skype or any VOIP in it.
My friend says I can plug in any headphone with mic in I touch and it shall work but I doubt.
I have no plan to spend 300$ on 16 GB which, actually supports VOIP and skype in particular.

I Currently use RocketVoip for my VOIP, with the plan I get 4 numbers for 29.95 including a 800#. All the numbers are tied to the main # so if you dial the 800 # it goes to the main #, however if someone else dials the local # it goes directly to the voice mail.

How can I set up my system to allow two calls at once?
I have a home office where phone calls are our life, and to be able to make 2 calls at the same time would be great.

Just wanted to do a little comparison, I had both of them and I think Landline sounds clearer, and it works when the power goes out. Then there’s VOIP which saves you a lot of money and gives you all the calling features, but the sound quality isn’t as clear as landline. Also VOIP will not work when the power goes out. Overall, which is considered to be more reliable?

I have comcast as broadband, Vonage is my VOIP (no phone connections on wireless router).
