Yes, happend to me at work. They try to get your info so next time they cold call again they act like they know you or refer to you when they talk to your colleague.
Just hang up and say thank you next time.

This has happened at my place of work several times. I always just hang up on them. Anyone our company advertises with will know how to contact our office manager.
