What is the Huawei u7517 mobile phone operating system?

I own a Huawei u7517 mobile phone that I got from my local phone provider. I understand its the same as Vodafone 840. I’ll like to know what is it’s operating system, how can I add or remove items from the default menu, and use non-java applications.

It has a custom OS by Huawei. Check source for apps.

The OS is part owner of Huawei. With commands of BREW (Qualcomm).
The only way to add or remove items from the menus, is reflashing the phone.
Applications are available for this phone only in JAVA
