Luckily, since both Verizon and Alltel use the same CDMA technology, Alltel phones will work on the Verizon network when the merger is finalized. The other good thing is that Verizon will honor all current Alltel contracts. Hope that helps!!
I received a letter that said for now everything will stay the same!
I hope they are telling thr truth as I have three lines with Alltel!!
You penguin you…
That’s a good question. My mom works at Verizon and she told me they were planning to take over Alltel, and I’m kind of nervous. The reason is because when AT&T joined with Singular (sp?) they had a lot of problems, so I really hope Verizon doesn’t start having problems, but a lot of companies do when they join together, in my opinion.
And I’m pretty sure you will still be able to use your Alltel phone.
uuhhhmm, i have an Alltel regular phone.
They should’ve sent you a letter in the mail explaining what will happen.
you keep your regular cell phone until your contract runs up.
Then you would get another phone as usual but you will have more phones to choose from.
you could pick some old Alltel phones or even pick a verizon phone
(it won’t matter because they’ll be under the same contract when you resign it)
And you’ll also get to keep My Circle
(:
So noowwwww, all Alltel and Verizon customers will have more phone options AND have My Circle.
Works out pretty fabulous for mee
(:
oh and uhhm, Verizon is NOT "taking over" Alltel
( as the chick above me said)
they are JOINING FORCES.
That’s why we get to keep My Circle AND Verizon phones.
